If either Flynn or Julian Assange starts talking its really bad news for the sedition gang, but that's just one aspect of it.
In the case of Flynn, the general perception is the sedition gang don't want to look like they set him up etc. But I think the real problem is that Flynn right now is still muzzled (by choice) and when he's not, there's no upper limit to the damage he will cause to the deep state.
For example, we know Barr walks a tightrope between trying to produce some small amount of consequences for the sedition gang while preserving the institutions to maintain the DC facade and not have every person prosecuted by the DOJ have their case reopened/overturned which will burn the system down.
Flynn is dangerous because he has nothing left to lose and isn't going to be as tactful as Barr when he starts talking, especially if he reenters the Trump admin.
