Fellow video nerd here, I think what you're noticing is motion artifacts from the highly compressed codec they're using. If it is fake than whoever made it did a really good job. Here's a video from two weeks ago that was filmed similarly that you can use to compare https://youtu.be/ABYC7ikFIuY
Video nerd/Colorist pede here, just a few thoughts...
The white balance on these clips is different, the second image is warmer (look at his white shirt, and that fact that his dark coat has more magenta in the second image)
Hair reacts differently under different light sources
These are probably taken on different cameras with different color sciences (not to mention drastically different lighting conditions), the image on the left looks like the shirt and hair is close to clipping, which may be adding to the de-saturated/white look.
Not trying to ruin your theory, simply offering my professional opinion. If you'd like I can break out the scopes and analyze further.
I am by no means defending YouTube, but it makes me wonder if they’re removing dislikes from people who didn’t actually watch the video...
