Does it have to go to a floor vote? Democrats are currently down three members due to vacancies, though these are safe blue districts that Dems will win back in special elections. That leaves the current Congress at 219 D to 211 R. One R is vacant so it could become 212.

Pedes need to call/e-mail moderate Dem congressmen to tell them not to overturn Miller Meek's election.

Funny how nobody mentions anything about biological females wanting to play on men's teams or use men's bathrooms and locker rooms.

Also If women athletes feel uncomfortable changing or showering in front of a guy, isn't it also fair for male athletes to feel the same discomfort in the locker room with a gay team mate? If you are afraid of the "male gaze" objectifying you, how can you call me homophobic when I don't want male gays objectifying me?

my preferred gender pronoun is "President Trump won by a lot". If they won't call me that, then they're Trumpophobic.

So if free speech protects the professor's rights to speak consistently with his beliefs, it should also do so for the students. So If I use "gendered" or "outdated" language like mankind or Oriental in a paper or if I decide to capitalize White or leave black lowercase, then the professor as an agent of the school can criticize that in his comments but can't deduct points from my grade, right? After all, the Bill of Rights trumps the academic style guide.

I think the student complained and the college caved. If anything it should've disciplined the student for the way he acted.

Yeah. Which court was it that struck down the bump stock ban? The free speech case this thread is about is 6th circuit.

when I click the link it takes me to 45office.com/root which asks me for login credentials. If I delete the "/root" from the url, I can access the site (which is just a logo).

The college would have to appeal to the Supreme Court. I don't think they will, that would be expensive.

Reminds me of an episode of "Fr. Spitzer's Universe" a few weeks ago. Doug and Fr. Spitzer have started like every episode off with an article that criticizes Joe Biden and so a viewer (named Milt) emailed Doug to complain. The complainant said he noticed that Doug refers to Biden as "Joe Biden" and "Biden" but never as "President Biden" and that he doesn't like the shows "de facto Trump support", so when Doug read the email, he pointed out that Milt just says Trump , not "President Trump".

You can see the video here: https://ondemand.ewtn.com/Home/Play/820, the email is about 14 mins in.

Did he have information that should lead to the arrest of Hillary or Bill?

I'm guessing Supreme Court doesn't take the case, college might not even appeal.

So if Manchin resigns what happens? I he can't stick to his convictions, rather than cave he should resign, right? or would Jim Justice be legally required to replace him with a Democrat until there is a special election?

There should be a mileage tax: every time a politician flies on a tax-payer funded plane or uses public transport such as a bus or amtrak, a fee should be deducted from his salary.

"killed the Republican party", which did better down ballot than it did in '06, '08, or '12.

Yeah, apparently they lost a big $10,000 donor over that article, so it's gonna take a good number of small contributors. So keep spreading the word.
