The orthodoxy of Medicine is almost impossible to change and those who dare question the Status quo are sent to the asylum, just ask Ignaz Semmelweis.
On masks, Danish Mask Study found no effect. Even if PPE prevents the spread of a viral infection, which I dont know, it's not something that should be forced on people.
Dr. Hope-Simpson, after studying the seasonality of virus infections for 50 years, was able to correlate latitude with influenzal viral spread in populations, with Corona, sharing almost the exact patters. The Curves we now see on Corona matches his findings to a tea. Masks and lockdowns have had almost no impact on this at all. But, he is not an "accepted" expert like the highly qualified Dr. Fauxi
The problem in medicine is not just the idiotic mask mandates, but more core dogmas of Medicine which are just plainly wrong. Not to mention the Replication crisis... The biggest problem in modern medicine is the inability to deal with Heart disease and Diabetes, of which the "Diet-heart hypothesis" is the core fallacy, which prevents any meaningful change. If you are interested in finding out more on this topic I recommend an Engineer "Ivor Cummins". Btw, he has also been covering the Viral Hysteria since may, having many prominent scientists and even Nobel Laureates on his podcast.
Thanks for you good wished, and I do hope that I can apply my knowledge to the benefit of those who come to seek my help.
Im a newly licensed Doctor in Norway. Had my first job last spring, but due to a Family situation I decided to stop working for a while. I really want to return to work now, and I know I can easily find a position, but I feel discouraged returning to work because of what you correctly stated.
We must comply to what the health ministry has laid out. There is no room to move. If you go against their narrative, even when demonstrably false, you will lose your license.
"Herd immunity is achieved by protecting people from a virus, not by exposing them to it.”
The amount of stupidity in this sentence is mind boggling... If herd immunity is not achieved by exposing people to a virus then what is the point of a vaccine in the first place? A vaccine is supposed to be a controlled exposure to viruses, but...cant have the people know that
It is indeed strangulating! At the moment, I live in Budapest with my girlfriend and the mandatory curfew is suffocating, not to mention the in-effective mask mandates. Not being able to go to the gyms or not being able to go out after 8pm without a "valid" reason is insanity. The Belarusian prime minister claimed that IMF tried to bribe him with $1 Billion, its not that far of a stretch to believe that the same has been done with Hungary.
Do not drink this toxic sludge. When given the choice , rats prefer Sugar over Cocain! If you drink this to get Vitamin C, then you are not in luck. Vitamin C (ascorbate) - Glucose antagonism makes it so that you cannot utilise the vitamin C you get. This is manly due to the similar structure between the two. After all, Vitamin C is a compound constructed from Sugar.
If you think they are not happy with HCQ, check out Statins!
The biggest grossing drug bar none in the world are Statins. The drugs sell for $100Billion dollar a year. Do they prevent hear disease? No Do they lower the risk of heart disease? Yes. To the extent the Pharmaceutical industry claim? No.
The absolute risk reduction when taking Statins is around 1-3 %. The NNT is around the ballpark of 100. The end point postponement is 16 days, and that's for secondary profylaxis.
It's a complete fraud.
Worked with a black guy from Sweden who had a temporary position at the Doctor's office where I work at this June/July.
His family fled from Rwanda due to the turmoil there during the civil war and they were able to seek asylum in Sweden.
After him having been here a week, I invite him over to my home. He starts talking about BLM and how he also had experienced Institutional Racism. Being skeptical, I asked him what had he experienced. He said that he did not get a job he applied for and that the only factor that could explain it was racism. He said that all other factors were equal i.e his interview, his CV, his references, his diploma.
Everything was the same between the applicants therefore it must be because of racism that he did not get the jobs.
Even though this man has been able to get taxpayer funded education in a country that his parents were admitted with open arms to, an education that most people would dream about, he still thought he was oppressed. After some back and forth where I pointed out the lunacy of assuming qualifications of others, I told him straight that he clearly sees himself as a victim.
He blew up, called me a Racist and went and complained to my employer that I was discriminating him. Over the next 2months while he was working at the office, he did everything he could to paint me in a bad light. Luckily for me I know my employer quite well and he knows me. Had it not been for this I fear I would have lost my job just because of my interaction with him.
It's scary how even those that have been handed everything in life still believe they are a victim
Multifactorial problem which would take a very long time to answer in depth.
To give a short answer: Many of the factors which cause criminality work synergistically with each other to increase the likelihood of criminality. These being single parent household, culture that glorifies violence and disobedience. Higher innate aggression coupled with low average IQ. Although the point about IQ is the most controversial one, it's backed up by quite rigorous evidence. All of these factors are an independent risk factor for criminality. It's interesting to see photos from the 1950s in Harlem compared to now to see how much Culture can impact a group of people. I recommend you to look up Thomas Sowell's interviews on YouTube regarding this topic, his viewpoint is well thought out and we'll argued. A great thinker
The subtle Biochemical differences between different groups of humans are really something else to get into, its such an interesting thing to see how we have adapted to different environmental pressures! The mutation regarding the enzyme Lactase is quite the interesting one. Normally, Mammals are not supposed to be able to consume milk for an extended time period due to its highly nutritional content. This is quite rational as it should be saved for newborn animals that need the highly nutritious substance to grow fast. Due to this, the enzyme Lactase is normally inhibited sometime during the growth of a mammal. In Humans though, some groups have created an inhibition of the Lactose inhibitor. A double Negation in other words. Thus we are able to consume dairy products.
Sadly, Lactose is not the only point of concern with Dairy products. Mind you, most people with an ability to break down lactose will have no problem, but some people who are able to break down lactose will have reactions to various Milk Protein. In fact, a reaction to milk protein has been linked to the development of Type I diabetes. But again, this is not a concern for healthy people.
If you want to know more about the importance of Fish, I recommend you to look into PUFAs (Polyunsaturated fatty acids) such as EPA and DHA. Especially EPA
The way the dietary guidelines are made is really a joke. Here you have a rundown of how the dietary guidelines are made: Nina Teicholz - 'Dietary Guidelines & Scientific Evidence' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJEHiQKqfZM
The amount of fat you have is sadly not a great predictor of health. There are people determined to be metabolically healthy obese and unless you have done an abdominal CT to determine the amount of visceral fat you have, it's not really a good way to think about health. Although calories are important it matters more where the calories comes from. The whole idea behind a low car diet, and here we are talking about less than 30g of carbs a day, is to reduce the massive insulin spikes that occur after every meal. As one of insulins functions is Lipogenesis and prevention of Lipolysis it is then easy to see why Low Carb Diets work when it comes to loosing weight. Also, as a consequence of a LC diet, due to its effect on insulin, it has the benefit of reversing type 2 Diabetes and normalising Blood pressure.
In general people can eat what they want, and there is no all encompassing diet which is right for healthy people.
However, if a person is sick with e.g heart disease or IBD then their disease can be directly correlated with what they consume. In heart disease ( here I am not speaking about HCM or ideopathic valvular pathologies) is manly due to refined carbohydrates and an unbalanced Omega6/omega3 ratio (look into the history of hearth disease here. The deep dive is fascinating.) IBD is linked to leaky gut. Leaky gut is a state caused by some food products that have an ability to interrupt the tight junction in our bowels creating a state where digestive products reach underneath the intestinal mucosa leading to a generalised inflamed state. As a point of interest, leaky gut is associated with 30-40% of all autoimmune diseases. Vegetables and nuts, although being said to be health foods, do in fact contain toxic substances that are detrimental to humans as a consequence of our biosimilarity with things like bacterias and fungi. These include Lectines, Oxalates, Phytanes, alkaloids and xanthenes, just to name a few. The consumptions of said substances, for most people will have no effect, but then there are some that will have a negative effect due to their sensitivity towards these plant toxins. (I will link a video from the clinical trials of DR.Csaba Töth and Dr.Zsofia Clemens regarding IBD and Diabetes in relation to leaky gut association with modern diseases.)
As another point of interest. We joke a lot about Soy boys and how they have become effeminate weak men. Well, Isoflavenoids such as Phytoestrogen are found within Soy products and have been shown as very potent Esteogen mimickers. Phytoestrogens has been shown to decrease the sperm quality and production in men. As it messes up our hormonal balance it also then impairs proper testosterone production
So all in all, it's not as easy as saying Eat this this and that. Due to our individual sensibility to certain foodstuff, what works for you will and might not work for someone else. As you rightly point out " if it works for someone and they stick with it long term, then I think they should stick with it."

Congrats on loosing so much weight!
As you said, the human body is truly Amazing. If you have the time, check out the Massai people. By their very existence they contradict the modern wave of "Animal products and Fat is bad" orthodoxy within Medicine and health in General.
I commented on the statement "We need fiber". Which is not true. We do not need it. That you enjoy eating things that contain fiber is not my business, do what floats your boat. Or in this case, what makes you take a shit ;)
Actually you do not need fiber. Fiber is basically that material in plants we cannot break down. It comes in two forms, soluble, and insoluble. Soluable fiber is an anti-nutriant that hinders the absorption of sugars and Cholesterol. While insoluable fiber is said to help the digestion by increasing the water content of the stool that is simply not true. There is no significant change in the stools water content when adding fiber. What could be said to be good is that there are bacterias that break down the fiber in our gut which gives the intestinal cells whats called short chain fatty acids which they can use as an energy source. However, this causes bloating and gass production. And the cells gets enough nutrients if you metabolise fat in the form of ketones. Not to mention all the other antinutriants that are found in the foods that cointain fiber such as Phytic acids, lectins and oxalate. But thats another story.
Here is some information that pedes might find useful
Dr.Paul Mason examining the value of Fiber in our diet. https://youtu.be/xqUO4P9ADI0
"Stopping or reducing dietary fiber intake reduces constipation and its associated symptoms" https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3435786/
Dr.Thomas Siegfried gives a great lecture on this topic. The reason why ketones are not used is because ketone metabolism necessitates functioning mitochondrias. As the mitochondrias in cancer cells are non functioning, ketones cannot be used hence the warburg effect kicks in
