He first made a name for himself by live-streaming Occupy Wall Street protests from an unbiased perspective. This was over a decade before live-streaming became mainstream.
His second claim to fame was taking up Paul Joseph Watson’s offer to partially fund a trip Sweden to report on the immigrant ‘no-go zones’ that western media was denying the existence of. Tim went there and confirmed their existence as much as he could except that he was denied entry or the ability to record these migrant blocs so it basically confirmed it
His third claim to fame was his first appearance on joe rogan where joe had on Tim, the CEO of twitter, and the CEO’s lawyer at the same time. Tim grilled them for their politically-motivated censorship and artificial trend promotion. They denied a lot of what he accused them of, so he would cite examples or demand that they cite their own examples of their claims, and in the end it was pretty much just Tim beating the shit out of these phonies for two hours straight. The_Donald loooooved him then
Other than that he has two very successful podcasts, one where he just reports/comments on stories by himself and another that’s done with a small group and usually features guests. Alex Jones was his guest last night. You should be able to tell quite a few things about Tim just by the fact that he had Alex Jones on as a guest
The circlejerk against him right now is because people on the dissident right have enjoyed watching him go from a far left skater punk progressive to a more center/right (but only in the new, dissident right sense of being right. He’s still more left than right) but they’ve begun to get mad at him for not going full MAGA. He pumped the breaks when the MAGA crowd was expecting him to leap off the right wing cliff and swan dive into a pool of America First ideology.
It’s pretty annoying in my opinion. We don’t need everyone to be a cheerleader for trump 24/7. It’s good to have variance in the movement. It’s good to have people around who can support the movement but criticize its leaders. It’s good to have people who support some of it but reject other parts.
Some people on our side are making the mistake of thinking that the opposite of far left globalist communist identitarian statism is Donald trump and the maga movement. That’s not the case though.
