This is because of draconian gun laws in NY (and particularly NYC). NY is a “may issue” state, and requires a state-issued CCW to even possess a firearm. A CCW in NY requires a judge to decide whether you have a “valid reason” to have a firearm, and is totally subjective and varies judge to judge. It can take up to a year to be granted a permit, and includes deep background checks by the police (who even interview friends, family, neighbors).

Further, CCWs are rarely granted inside NYC which has even more restrictive laws.

So, showing up in NYC with a pistol without a permit will land you right where this guy landed.

In states that do not require permits just to possess firearms you’ll have no problem transporting via aircraft in a TSA approved container as checked luggage.

Do you know anyone in Georgia?

Something must be done. Even if just to make a scene.

Sure, go and wear a MAGA hat on the weekend, and or call your representatives (they don’t care).

How about calling your 3%er and/or any other organized militia groups and tell them you need an escort because you’re marching your ass into that facility and stopping them from wiping the machines.

Voted in AZ first thing - a half hour before the polls opened, line was formed around the block. Half mile long.

A fellow pede was walking up and down the line telling people to vote Trump, and that a vote for any democrat is a vote to lock you in your house. Or a vote for Chyyna. (Just past the 75’ line) - high energy!

Plenty of people without masks. Not a word said.

Yes that’s right. If you google map the “public safety building” in downtown Rochester- you’ll see the police line formed under the rte 490 bridge.

Edit: a letter

I thought it would be interesting to know for those not familiar with Rochester NY:

This face-off happened in front of the hall of justice and county jail. That bridge is a kind of demarcation between the business / municipal area of downtown and an historic residential area (“corn hill”). It’s no surprise the police stopped the protest right there.
