Your father worships the process more than justice.
I saw a guy debating on YouTube comments with someone about how Stalin wasn't really that bad and helped modernize Russia. When the other guy started pointing out all the famines and massacres Uncle Joe caused, the commie broke his disguise and admitted that those deaths are meaningless numbers. You have to break a few eggs to make an omelette. The sacrifice was necessary to form a perfect society.
Wasn't he a raging lefty?
I only watched the movie after Seinfeld referenced it.
I'd be fine with Communists playing out their fantasies on their own land. You can have a commune of like minded idiots who don't believe in property all living together and leaving the rest of us alone.
Once they realize how ridiculous such a system is, they'll either give it up or admit they are totalitarians who think "real communism" can only work when the entire world has submitted. Then we can throw them out off the helicopters for being a danger to freedom.
I supported Newt because of his pro-space agenda. The media actually tried to laugh him out of the race because he proposed what we are now doing. (building a moon base)
Pretty much, just gayer.
Consolidation. We had the technical ability to create distributed solutions to market demand, but we didn't, and young startups that didn't mind being communist enablers got rich by siloing everyone's data and providing "free" services in exchange.
We also failed to protect the exclusively American concept of free speech absolutism when the web got easier and hordes of foreigners from countries that don't have such a concept started subtlely influencing communities. (along with our own Karens that believe in safe spaces)
That is great way to debate. It's unfortunate that most people are NPCs who don't know their history and can only repeat what the idiot box tells them. (It conveniently provides us prepackaged pro and con arguments that the powers that be have approved)
Jefferson would be disgusted. He hated the news media.
Our president is a nice guy. He's letting the bad people enjoy Christmas too.
No it isn't. But he can't wait much longer. The closer to 1/20 it gets, the more it looks like he's just holding on to power.
Thanks for the detailed answer! I definitely understand your reasoning even though I disagree.
It can be, but do you have a specific reason you think so?
It was overreach. Honestly a court can say whatever they want - it's up to the other two branches to say no sometimes.
I keep trying to get out, but they keep dragging back in.
"We'll get 'em next time guys."
I can't not laugh at this.
Where did you get such an idea? Of course it can and will be firewalled at the base stations. More likely they won't be allowed to use the service.
He should just tweet "YOLO bitches" and get it done.
Only because they are about to go on break.
He needs to realize if he doesn't stop China's puppet in the legislature, Trump will be forced to cross to the Rubicon - which is something a libertarian like Paul would be strongly against.
He just needs to wait a bit before vetoing, then they'll have to start all over again. Also the House passed it before he made it controversial, so they might not pass it again.
oh lol
