We have tall poppy syndrome in our country. Donald Trump is easily more successful than the vast, vast majority of his critics. A lot of people like to tear down successful people here. It's really pathetic.
Question the preconceptions of NPCs, don't inundate them with information. The opposition has created a caricature of us being deranged conspiracy theorists. Don't operate under their parameters, always stay a step ahead.
So good. The short sightedness of leftists is amazing. All these hearings are available for people to watch and will continue to be. You can purge all you want but many will have copies of these streams. Keep up the pressure.
LDP has some good principled people there, however I'm a bit wary of their foreign investment policies. I do like their stance on welfare and the nanny state. Unfortunately too many Australians are hooked on this dependency mentality.
Immigration policy between One Nation and Libs is night and day, and this is why I'd prefer them. They may be a bit of a meme party but this is the most important issue for me. It's more than just Muslims. If they can get a decent vote and some senators in the parliament, they could be a powerbroker.
Lol, a good mate of mine named John went to a Trevor Noah stand up show. He went with a group who bought him a ticket. John is pretty non-political, doesn't buy into all the hype surrounding any politician. He had no idea who Noah was.
So Noah does his schtick, typical lame jokes about racism and all. John doesn't laugh at anything. When asked about his thoughts on the woke sermon given by Trevor Noah, he responds, 'eh, I'm kinda racist. Don't care.' This one seething leftie turns around after hearing this and death stares him. John goes, 'yeah I am a bit of a racist, so what!!' Love that bloke ahahaha
The salt in that article is priceless. Saying that 50 cent doesn't care about all the typical leftie causes. A lot of his music is about money, sex and violence. Did they really think he would care about their bullshit? 😅
Also Aussie. Great summary. The major right wing party is a neoliberal conservative party, so social conservative objectives are usually pushed to the backburner. Our media landscape is also interesting to note. Uncle Rupert owns a lot of outlets so that influences opinions. The lefties also put way too much stock in public media institutions, like the ABC, which will always struggle to match the production value and salaries offered at commerical networks. This frustrates a lot of lefties, who pigeonhole themselves by regarding the ABC as more sacred than a church.
Both have shows where they'll invite various right wingers, and both are great for doing so (although Rogan looks like he's stuck in the mud atm) . However, Rubin talks about the same shit over and over. Doesn't criticise people like Turning Point and Ben Shapiro for gatekeeping, even though they'll go on about censorship.
Such a boring show. You have the king of progressives, Waleed Aly, hosting alongside your typical blue pilled inner city cucks.
Lame humour, normie references, really standard stuff. Then they'll occasionally get the boomer conservative on, who goes on a rant and then gets bullied by all the other panellists.
At least a lot of people here see it as a meme. Q&A is still by far the worst.
Completely agree. People think they're a lot smarter than what they actually are. Being nihilistic and apathetic is an easy position to take. It's usually cowardly.
The comparisons to the US are ridiculous. Our cities don't get the traffic that New York or LA get, plus we're not as densely populated. But of course, orange man bad.
