The laws need to be changed. Federal elections should have the same rules in every state. The constitution provides for elections, follow what is written. The states can do whatever they want on state elections.

Did you notice in the gif the guys nose looked much larger in the wider angles photos. In wide angles things in the foreground or closer to the lens appear much larger because the background falls away much more radically than with a telephoto lens. Forced perspective of someone standing on a ridge with a wide angle makes them look like a giant because the background falls away fast and everything looks like it is spread out..

Telephoto lenses compress the Subject matter while wide angle lenses spread it out. It' why Telephoto lenses make people look thinner an wide angles make them look fat.
