When the IRS and OSHA targeted individuals and companies for supporting the tea party, there were no consequences.
When Brennen, Comney, etc. lied under oath, they were not charged with perjury.
When the FBI and CIA attempted to unseat a duly elected president with evidence they knew was false, one guy lost his pension (but was quickly made whole by the Left).
When Military Intelligence, the CIA, and the State Department made a second run at that goal, not only was nobody punished, they tried to force the President to promote one of the malefactors.
Our "mass insurrection" had less property damage than some parties I've attended.
We still don't know who murdered Ashli Babbitt, and at this point it seems unlikely that we ever will.
Now, they're snatching up people for publicly demanding an audit on the flimsiest of charges.
They believe that the current deference will continue.
They may even be right.
But I believe that they are wrong. That Justice exists. And although Vengeance is the Lord's, there are times and places to hasten that happy encounter.
He knows all about frauds. But he'll never admit to being one. Or any other admission than might inadvertently lead to that conclusion.
If they didn't, thousands of federal judges and prosecutors would be unemployed, and the Supreme Court would be bored.
Not true.
But the national Republican party is bloody awful.
They will dump piles of money into propping up the "establishment" candidate, and flood the airwaves with blatantly false scaremongering.
If that's still not enough to roll the insurgency back, they'll make a backroom deal with the Democrats, and "borrow" a bunch of their voters in exchange for surrendering laws the base fought hard for.
If that isn't enough, they will stab the winner in the back by either endorsing the Democrat, or running as a third-party candidate to try and split the vote and hand the win to the Democrat. (Or, if you're in Alaska, magically get an outright majority to write-in "Murkowski" correctly.)
I stopped agreeing with this ten years ago. The tea party primaried Mike Simpson in Idaho. He was/is a corrupt squish who uses his position to collect protection money. (Being a member of the committee which controls funding of the relevant bureaucracy gives a certain amount of leverage to get an inspection waived, or certain and ruthless.) The state and federal parties pulled out all the stops to defeat the challenge, with the full support of the GOPe media. They sold out hard-won education reforms to get crossover votes. They lied. They cheated. They push-polled. They dumped millions of dollars to dominate the commercial airwaves They proved that they could fight ruthlessly and effectively. But they were much more interested in fighting against us than in ever fighting to defend us.
Generous of you. Much better than what he deserves.

The CIA, the FBI, and the media were all corrupt, are all corrupt, and all actively support each other in their corruption.
He exposed a lot of their dirty laundry back in the day (although he said it was only the tip of the iceberg), and he'd likely have beaten Carter for the presidential nomination if the media hadn't successfully gaslit the country that he'd gone Lin Wood.
Needless to say, we'd all be better off.
He took a lot of heat, and a lot of hate, because he was over the target.
Of possible interest, he was military intelligence during WWII. I'm not sure how much institutional memory is left of the grudge at this point.
But I have hope.

Sadly, he seems to have been the best option Trump had within the swamp. Remember, Mueller's attempt to set the narrative after the release of the report failed mainly because Barr recorded the "private conversation" with his " good friend". And Mueller's investigation was wrapped up only because Barr refused to accept an argument that an innocent man publicly proclaiming his innocence was "obstruction of justice".(Under all the hyperbole and sleight of hand, that was seriously the claim!) Would somebody who wasn't a slimy bastard have done the former, and caught the latter? But a snake that eats snakes is still a snake. (Which is likely an insult to snakes.)
Wait until after the 20th. There will be plenty of opportunity to flip the table after the last card is played.
Trump is up to something. It may work, it may not, but he explicitly asked us to keep our heads down and our noses clean.

Remember, that was shortly after the federal government straight up murdered citizens at Ruby Ridge and Waco. At the time, the Democrats held the White House, both branches of Congress, owned the Supreme Court, and were actively pursuing gun control.

Our saving grace is the incompetence of our enemies.
If they'd take an operational pause, consolidate, and push once people acclimated to "the new normal", we'd likely be screwed.
But as Obama once said, "Never underestimate Joe's ability to #_&@ things up." That's before he started lapsing into senility. He was kept in his basement nearly the whole campaign, was exposed only to softball questions from vetted allies to a remarkably degree (even for a Democrat!), and the belligerent idiot still tried to pick, what four? five fights? What's he going to do with the military, IRS, and FBI under his control? And we're just the people to needle him.
Then you've got the most vocal politicians and half the media loudly demanding that half the citizenry be sent to concentration camps.
Then there's the Trump card. As in, Trump himself. He's the most investigated man on the face of the Earth. He's survived scrutiny that virtually nobody else could, and everyone knows it.
So here's the question:
Do you think the Left, as it currently exists, is capable of leaving him alone once he's out of power?
I fully expect him to be assassinated or imprisoned shortly after leaving office.
With an accompanying, "know your place, peasants" media blitzkrieg.
I don't expect to be saved by some unique virtue of the American people.
I expect us to be saved because God protects fools, drunkards, and the USA. And because our enemies were seemingly constructed by Jim Henson productions.
Setbacks and defeats will happen.
