I had just gotten a cell phone near the election. We voted Trump because Hillary is so awful, but knew nothing about Trump other than he was the rude guy who liked to fire people on Apprentice.
On election night my pregnant wife and I went to hospital with some minor complications and I looked up the electoral map on my phone. Race called as we sat there in a room, and the first article I remember seeing was Van Jones saying it was a "whitelash". I was like what the fuck, no dude that's... not why. I had been perusing Reddit randomly over that year and on election night discovered T_D for the first time from some election post. Been a multi-daily visitor since!
Voted in Idaho, took my little 3 year old. She has figured out that saying "Trump 2020" is cool.
Red State but hey, every vote counts. I paused and considered how appreciative I was to have the opportunity to vote for him.
Sons of the USA!
Of America!
My brothers.
I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me.
A day may come when the courage of Men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day.
An hour of wolves and shattered shields when the Age of Freedom comes crashing down, but it is not this day!
This day we fight!
By all that you hold dear on this good earth, I bid you vote, Men of the West!
Whatever happens tomorrow, come hell, high waters, screeching, rioting, or re-election, Trump has accomplished something that will carry on, he has shown everyone the definition of being a free man by living it. Courage to stand for liberty against everyone who tries to steal our souls by forcing us to be slaves to the will of others.
As I reflect that our country was founded with many who originally sought religious freedom from tyranny, I am reminded that Jesus never forced anyone to His eternal will either--it was always their choice. But He sure was a strong persuader, people who care about others in the way Jesus did tend to compel allegiance because--though they might be demanding--they have innate respect for your own personhood. God doesn't want automatons, it's why we were designed in His image, and why expectations He sets are very high. He knows we are capable and wants us to succeed by making good choices and developing into persons who, while submissive to God, are our own people and have chosen that lot.
Trump seems to carry that same attitude when he says stuff like the best is yet to come, being proud of every single event that happens where an American succeeds in various ways (SOTU speeches especially for this honoring incredible people in our society), and being sure that we can achieve anything we set our minds to. He's sorta like a dad that just has to have the best for all his kids, and stands between anyone who would try to harm them, but like a good dad would, he also doesn't sugar coat or try to put people in a protective bubble. You can see the cold hard reality that he has to face daily to be a productive person, with a cadre of people clawing at him just hoping the next swipe will be the one to make him trip.
Being a real American is guaranteed to be an epic adventure. Proud to be one and find this place 4 years ago. We are not alone.
So what everyone I think? seems to be missing from good ol' MSM is that no votes have been counted yet. They are ballots from registered D's or R's or I's.
When they count those D's ballots up I feel like there is a special surprise waiting.
We had a guy literally invoke BLM during a prayer at worship. I audibly grunted and looked up in disbelief. Pretty sure the guy hadn't a clue how many people had just lost their businesses or lives to looters/rioters.
They should count tonight and finish it. Leaving these 2 massive swing states open for counting tomorrow allows for hella fake ballots to "be found". This is crap and he's right to claim victory if they won't finish it off and declare the winner. He's up 700k in Penn and what like 200-300k? in Wis. Pretty huge and they just stopped counting, why???
