It seems to me the main argument is that a baby can't tell us if it wants to live or die.

We already let very sick people die in the form of ceasing treatment. We also will end the lives of suffering animals even though they also cannot communicate what they desire.

In both those cases I think because they are deemed close to end of life it is less off putting.

I think there is a long history of ending suffering in humans.

I feel like this might be unpopular but I think abortion is ok if the baby is diagnosed with something that will significantly impact its quality of life, or the pregnancy will threaten the mother's life.
