I wasn't doing good in college, I made a very difficult decision and decided to get out before I built up any debt. I think it was the right decision.
Those people are not your friends, they don't care about learning, and they don't care about you.
Its because NC has become a retirement home for wealthy NJ/NY people. I heard somebody down there describe Asheville as the Portland of the East. When it comes to stuff retired people enjoy republicans have nothing.
The allure is strong, people see a poor family and think if some rich millionaire would give them a few thousand dollars a month all their problems would be solved. Wouldn't that be great?
Of course it would, but these cases only work out because they fall through the margin of error cracks that capitalism uses to maintain stability. Ramp up the number of people and things fall apart quickly. Take bread for an example, poor families get UBI and no longer need to buy cheap bread. So they buy the more expensive bread which leads to the cheap bread company going out of business, and at the same time expensive bread company can't keep up with demand. Now all of a sudden you have empty shelves at the store, bread prices sky rocket, and your Venezuela.
Yea, I got that too π I'm terrible at it though, all I do is put people in jail and torture them :)
