This is the correct answer. Vaccines make sense for SOME people. For the vast majority of younger people, you're better off just getting covid. Literally a 1 in a million chance of dying from covid in a given year if you are under 30 and fit (look at the military stats for confirmation).

I posted a full breakdown of military deaths last week showing that 1 person under the age of 30 has died so far out of 1.6 million. No one in the military under 25 has died yet (out of 1.2 million).
All of this despite having the same positivity rate as the general population (10%).
Bottom line, if you're under 40 and in good enough shape to join the armed services, your odds of dying from covid in a given year are roughly one in a million. And that number is likely much lower now with roughly 50% of the population vaccinated or with natural immunity.
They'll argue that vaccinated people will have less chance of transmitting because they don't get symptoms that lend themselves to spread (coughing, sneezing etc).
Watch them self implode when you ask them why the same logic doesn't apply to asymptomatic carriers of covid who also aren't coughing or sneezing.

The vaccine should in no way be mandatory. Like anything else, it has a risk profile.if you're healthy and under 40, your odds of catching And dying from covid are roughly 1 in 250,000. If you are elderly with co-morbidities, it's more like 1 in 10. If I were old and frail, I might actually take it.
Given that the vaccine is experimental, it should be everyone's choice and in no way compulsory.

It was actually just after World War I, and most of the soldiers who died of the spanish flu died on bases in the US. That's actually how it spread to the general population.
And yes, it did primarily affect people 20 - 40, and yet the measures we've taken for covid have gone on longer and cut deeper than anything they did for the spanish flu. Bars and restaurants were shut down for 1-2 months in most communities and then life went back to normal. And that was for a virus that attacked people that actually go to bars and restaurants, not 85 year olds in nursing homes.
The point is that this virus isn't unprecedented and isn't even that much more deadly than the 1957 or 1968 pandemics that most people didn't even know was happening while they were going on.
