I'm reminded of the Conch Rebellion. The residents of the Florida Keys were getting quite pissed about being stopped and by federal officers whenever they tried to get to the mainland. They figured that if they were going to be treated like another country they should be another country and seceded from the union.
After seceding, they declared war on the U.S. (by way of breaking a loaf of stale Cuban bread over the head of a man dressed in a naval uniform). After a minute of all out war, they surrendered and immediately demanded restitution in the form of 1 billion dollars in foreign aid.
Granted, it was done somewhat tongue in cheek but it got enough press that the government ultimately removed the roadblock on US-1.
I say we go full balls to the wall. Florida itself should become the Conch Republic and secede from the US via the same justification.
I’m so disappointed in Rubio. Been voting for him for a while but have been having to hold my nose to do it for a while now. This was his last chance and he blew it.
The problem is it’s usually some left wing lunatic running against him. So my only choice is to just skip that vote unless someone with a spine enters the ring here in FL.
A small percentage of a big number will still be a big number. Most people don’t ever think of that. They’ll see the 3% and say “oh that’s just a tiny amount”. In reality, it’s more than enough to comfortably flip an election.
Had an economics teacher in high screwal that spent most lessons talking about how great Bill Clinton was. It was borderline cultist levels of admiration.
She was also brutal to kids whom she found out were conservative. Her and I butted heads a lot. She "accidentally" "lost" homework assignments that I turned in and even tests I took. I learned the benefits of documenting everything from that class and it's a skill I use constantly to this day so...at least some good came from it?
This was in a VERY backwoods school in the rural south, mind you. Stay vigilant, the leftist scumbags can infiltrate everywhere.
Name and shame the store
