I looked it up and:

The Natural Law Party (NLP) is a transnational party founded in 1992 on "the principles of Transcendental Meditation", the laws of nature, and their application to all levels of government. At its peak, it was active in up to 74 countries; it continues in India and some parts of the United States. The party defines "natural law" as the organizing intelligence which governs the natural universe. The Natural Law Party advocates using the Transcendental Meditation technique and the TM-Sidhi program as tools to enliven natural law and reduce or eliminate problems in society.

So it appears that you hit the nail on the head. They are indeed unwashed hippies.

A man named John Kennedy is standing up to the DS. Let's hope the DS doesn't do to him what it did to the last John Kennedy who opposed them.

Went ahead and emailed my senators. Both of them are Republicans, but they're also swamp creatures, so I don't have much hope for them.

Went ahead and left them a one-star review. I don't have Yelp, so I had to use Google Reviews(yes, I know).

Decided to visit the Wikipedia article about the Vegas shooting to see if I could come up with any theories as to his motive. I found this gem:

The shooting prompted support in the U.S. Congress for assault weapons legislation that would ban bump stocks. Many Congressional Democrats and some Republicans expressed support. [...] On November 6, 2017, Massachusetts became the first state to ban the sale, possession, or use of the devices. In December 2018, Acting United States Attorney General Matthew Whitaker signed a regulation banning bump stocks in the U.S., effective March 2019. The regulation bans new sales and requires current owners to surrender or destroy existing bump stocks.

Huh. Well.
