I remember 11 p.m. closing times in London. Seemed really early. Great city but they treat their citizens like children.

It's pretty obvious by now what they're planning:

  1. Mail-in fiasco causes nation to be unsure of winner.
  2. Riots increase demanding Trump concede.
  3. Traitors in the military remove Trump.
  4. Hillary installed (or some other tyrant, Harris will do too.)

Remember, this isn't about Trump. It's about us. They don't want our populism to continue as we are mucking up their globalism agenda. Therefore vote and act like your life depends on stopping them because it absolutely does.

Not just the debate, the whole thing.

Either Harris gets the top billing or some big name steps in.

Don't underestimate Hillary.

Great ad. She doesn't just talk about what she's going to do, she shows you.

I hope this woman makes into politics, our country could use her.

It says a lot about how corrupt Portland is when it's the mugshot that is the most punishment these terrorists will receive and not the prison time that any of us would be guaranteed to have if we committed the same crimes.

Imagine doing this to your own parents when you were young and idealistic. Impossible, right?

It's not your kid, it's the insane levels of brainwashing they've been subjected to.

They know not what they do. Our job is to love them anyway and welcome them back when they finally pull their heads out.

It's painful. But you haven't lost them. They're just suffering from severe indoctrination.

She voted "present" (which is the same as not voting) on Kavanaugh and she voted against impeachment.

She's definitely between a rock and a hard place. The decision for her is, do I piss off the Republican base or piss off independents. She has to go with the base. She may lose her seat over this vote.

And now that the riots are purely political the Left has lost all of the pretend moral high ground they disingenuously had with the Floyd riots.

Now it's just a tantrum.

This is the campaign trail now. She's on the Judiciary Committee. She'll get to grill the nominee and vote her down. It'll be good t.v.

Slight correction: Legislation requires a simple majority, 51 votes. Cloture on judicial appointments other than SCOTUS is 3/5ths, 60 votes. SCOTUS is simple majority, 51. And the "nuclear option" - doing away with the filibuster on nominations, was put into effect by the Demonrats in 2013 and expanded to include SCOTUS nominations by the GOP majority in 2017.

Here's why it's huge fucking deal:

  1. RBG was an progressive activist SC judge. Just losing her is a big loss for the Left.
  2. The Supreme Court was evenly split. Roberts, the turncoat, would be the deciding vote in contentious cases. That will no longer be true.
  3. Every time Trump gets to nominate a SC justice, liberals are reminded how badly they fucked up in 2016. This will be three and if he's re-elected it could mean five (even six), a majority lasting decades.
  4. Roe vs. Wade -- it's on very shaky legal ground. With a conservative court it will be changed.
  5. The 2020 election will probably be decided by the Supreme Court. Trump's chances of winning just improved greatly.
  6. There is good enough majority in the Senate to get a nominee confirmed even without Mittens and Murkowski. Important to note: Mittens will be under significant pressure from the Mormon church to vote yes on a pro-life nominee.
  7. Democrats were already at Defcon 2, they just went to Defcon 1 -- Civil War II looking more likely.
  8. Kameltoe-a is on the Judiciary Committee. It'll be her against the nominee and it will be delicious political theater.
  9. Payback's a bitch: in 2013 Senate Dems Invoked the nuclear option when they got rid of the filibuster on nominees. That means they can't hold up the vote.
  10. Sweet revenge: We are still seething over the treatment Kavanaugh received. Watching Senate Democrats lose their shit when they have only themselves to blame will be sweet like honey.

Your point, OP, about not being able to predict which way a justice will vote during their time on the court is valid but that's not important right now. RBG's passing has set in motion a number of cascading events which amount to high drama. Truly this is the most interesting political scenario I've seen in 34 years of being a political junkie.
