My only real concern with that is how isolated we are from any likeminded people.
I talked to the capitan at the local precinct and he was sympathetic but said that there wasn't much they could do in a situation like that (if the building got overrun) because all of their officers would be trying to control the crowd.
Don't try to reason with a lot of these people, they go way off the deep end with this.
I'm okay with folks getting the vaccine if they want, or for people who are hesitant about getting, or people who just don't want it.
I'm waiting for the long-term trials to wrap up prior to getting it (i guess in a year or so) But I'm at low risk of getting any real complications from COVID anyways.
I'm against forcing people to get it, and against people who bash others for getting it. Neither side is good.
My doc told me that my risk of complications from COVID was less than the risk of complications from the vaccine, based on current evidence. I'm young-ish and in pretty good health, so if I get covid, I should be fine.
With the vaccine still in long-term clinical trials, he recommended that I wait until after they are completed and the results are published before getting it.
However I have a suspicion that my work is going to require it at some point... so I guess I better prepare myself to leave my job.
Ahh... but everything he has bent on has been things that aren't specifically called out as sinful... or at least something that he could argue as such.
Its difficult for him to do that with homosexuality as it is called out specifically, multiple times, as being sinful.
I'm sure the catholic church will someday will be woke on homosexuality in the church, but not anytime soon..
Missouri Governor didn't even have to campaign last year and still soundly beat the shit out of the Democrat challenger.
Solid Red.. even though the two major cities are shitholes.
