I prefer to have Ben Carson, Clarence Thomas, Thomas Sowell, Candace Owens, Tommy Sotomayor, etc here in the US, and a host of others who are also fighting along side me for our freedoms. Think before you post such crap.

Appoint Steve Moore who ultimately had to withdraw his nomination to the Fed when (D)'s threatened to make his divorce records public (sorta like a certain then-aspiring member of the Illinois Senate running for US Senate did, aka Obama did to Jack Ryan, against whom he was running in 2004). Appoint Art Laffer to the other vacancy, or Ron Paul as someone else suggested

You make good points. A state of emergency does not require that businesses remain closed entirely. A state of emergency can involve continued health precautions as the proximal cause for the continuation of an emergency situation even with businesses opening up. It has a lot to do with State funding of programs to address Emergency conditions during a time of emergency.

As far as Court challenges to EO's go at time of Plenary emergency powers where all States are involved in an extraordinary circumstance like that -- and have voluntarily placed themselves under that authority for the duration of the Emergency, I think Courts might be enjoined from consider things until AFTER the emergency is lifted, not during or before.

I could be wrong but if Congress wanted to define plenary powers differently they would have already, and that is where the Constitutional questions regarding execution of plenary powers -- as broad as they are --- would be adjudicated.

All 50 States reside under National Emergency presently. States effectively begged to be placed under National Emergency provisions with the likely expectation that they would be entitled to nuzzle up to the Federal trough.

Plenary Power has passed to the President in this environment, as described by Pence in yesterday's news conference. This power might be exercised by a Chief Executive in a virtually absolutist fashion for the duration of the emergency.

Cuomo, finally realizing the scope of his state's submission to Emergency Power dependency, lashed out at Trump this morning, saying to the effect, "You're not a KING! You can't tell us when our states are supposed to open!" Oh yeah? When it came to begging the FedGov to exercise its Emergency Powers -- be careful what you asked for.

What could Cuomo and a host of liberal Dem governors be scared of? How about Trump issuing an EO requiring Voter ID for Federal Elections? Recall Trump's tweet today specifically condemning vote harvesting. Is this a prelude to not letting a crisis go to waste -- this time for the good guys?

Trump has shut the border without so much as a whimper from the typical protesters. He could keep the travel ban in place with China and so complicate the ability of businesses to do business over there, the best option business decides on its own is to get out of China - completely.

How about restoring the full deductability of Meals and Entertainment in the tax code - by EO? Trump tweeted that two days ago. How about finally reigning in the Federal Reserve in a way that it becomes neutered under the re-asserted Constitutional authority for issuance of money by the Treasury- all by EO?

Plenary power in an Emergency has effectively been ceded by the States to the Executive. Congress is ball-less and remains out-of-town.

Trump is the best Chief Executive for the US citizenry to have at this time to exercise plenary powers with the possibility of restoring many good things that America has lost to liberalism over the years -- and maybe assure a free and fair election in 2020 with mandated Voter ID.

On "The Five" on 4/8 prior to Trump's press briefing I heard two of the best "Get America Back To Work" suggestions:

Gregg Gutfeld proposed making all meals at restaurants tax deductable. Trump was listening or someone in his inner circle was listening. That said Trump appears to want to go one step further as his tweet suggests that tax deductability for ALL entertainment meals for business purposes be re-stored to the tax code.

Add to this, I think meals and entertainment is something that should also be deductible for individuals for the next 6 months, to put a shot back in the arm of this $995B industry = to 2% of US GDP

Dana Perrino (surprisingly) suggested that instead of hedge funds looking for a bailout just free up the $1T they are sitting on and just lower the capital gains tax rate so that they can pour the money into re-emerging businesses.

A remarkably good "The Five" was from 4/8. They should funnel these suggestions routinely over to Stephen Moore, Steve Mnuchin, and Larry Kudlow.

Former Sec'y of energy Rick Perry last night on Laura Ingraham's show proposed that the US refine only US sourced oil for the next 90 days. Let the Saudi's and Russia slug it out but keep our independent oil producers and frackers in business so that we continue to be energy independent even after all this is done.

Viagra was not originally developed as a boner crutch either. It was being tested as another "me too" blood pressure drug when the welcomed side effect (for some) was discovered in the middle of Phase 2 clinical trials. Pfizer elected to switch the intended indication from enhanced blood pressure control to that of an erectile dysfunction treatment. The rest is history.

Be careful what you wish for. Sure he's a pig but he's an (R). The governor is a (D). Driving him out of office now replaces him with a (D).

Burr is gone in 2022 when he retires. Why give a (D) a two-year head start on re-election, and lose one more vote in the Senate that Trump needs for judgeship confirmations?

Fauci is specifically praising Hillary's "What difference does it make ...?" testimony on 1/23/2013.

What purpose was served by an NIH Director licking Hillary's ass on this occasion telling her she "hit it out of the park."?

Fauci is as political an animal as it gets. He is not Trump's ally at all.

He contradicts Trump's general encouragement and enthusiasm at every turn, and does so publicly almost like a dress down, not as a tempering of expectations. His flippant use of the word "anecdotal" to describe peer reviewed findings on efficacy of Azythromycin/Hydroxychloroquine ("A/H") is an example of his smug arrogance.

If A/H proves to be a sliver bullet in all this, I see Trump requesting and receiving Fauci's swift notice of termination.
