I'm in the process of killing my iPhone. I realized one of its main "conveniences" is access to music - especially through my spotify subscription.
I bought an MP3 player with 64gb of storage for ~$40. The player runs on a single AA battery, has a 3mm audio jack, and plugs into usb ports. When being used as a usb, it doesn't use battery power.
It holds every song I own. It was some of the best money I ever spent. Bonus points: the music sounds better. I'm not sure why.

Do what I'm doing. I'm deep sixing my iPhone, replacing it with a Punkt phone, and buying a tablet for home use. You keep in line with tech trends without carrying around tracking device.
Also: cellphone goes in a Faraday Bag when not in use.
