Not really. The constitution allows capital punishment as a possible sentence for that crime and in the United States executions are carried out humanely.
Although rare the US has executed traitors before and I believe Comey's actions meet the legal definition of treason.
I legitimately think what Comey did meets the legal definition of treason and the constitution prescribes death as a possible punishment for that offense. If he gets tried and convicted of that crime I think that would be a fitting sentence for him.

He's just saying that so they can't say he said yes without knowing who the nominee is. All of the people on Trump's short list are qualified according to the American Bar Association and have been vetted by the heritage foundation. Not qualified is simply not an option.
Ultimately anyone potus picks will be a huge improvement over RBG so I'll be happy with anyone.
