The only way to do this, is by not only protesting current affairs, but get involved in your local politics, create/join/volunteer for republican events. Better yet if you live in a blue area with no republican chance, get involved in the democrats party, start taking it over, start pushing for more republican ideals in that party. It is possible, look at election results for deep/historical blue area, if the republicans just changed sides for a primary, they could easily push out an establishment democrat. It really can happen.
