It's really not that crazy of an amount. At minimum, half of that should be used as drinking water alone, some would need to be used for cooking, and the remainder would be for sanitary purposes. Really that feels like a tight pinch if you only have a gallon per person for more than a few days.

I had horrendous headaches almost daily while on BC. As soon as I went off to have a child with my husband, the headaches went away entirely. I will never go back on it.
