One of them had to be wrong. It’s not a lie because neither knew for a fact, it’s just something you never should’ve taken at face value
He fought in every way he could, even doing things so extreme for a president that a diehard supporter like me cringed (such as basically asking Pence to use his ceremonial role in certifying the electors to send them back) And refusing to concede right up to the point his supporters raided the Capitol building (even if antifa infiltrators did the worst stuff)
He was never going to be like “come forth and let’s take this by force!!”
Even if he did that it wouldn’t work, even if it worked it would only lasts for a few months and it would be the end of the country forever (who would be the next president after his forced coup?)
I get it. They stole the election. It makes me sick. But it probably wasn’t as blatant as most hate think. We actually can win in 2024. Biden won’t wreck the country any worse than Obama did.

I was going to say “or try something major to stop it” but I feel like we could end up bickering over what counts as major, because major to me would be like he actually does send in people to try to arrest Biden (and we’d need proof—like a statement or a speech—that President Trump actually ordered it. If some rogue does something crazy by himself we can’t just automatically give Trump credit: that’s what congress does—ba dum tchhh)
