BLM is basically a "get out the vote" effort by the Democrats. Donations to BLM are funneled through ActBlue, a Democrat organization. BLM activity spikes before each election, in order to energize the black vote. Democrats could not care less if cities burn and people are murdered, as long as they can get a little more political power.
Black people commit 52% of homicides, while being 13% of the population. That means non-black people commit 48% of homicides, while being 87% of the population.
(52/13) / (48/87) = 7.25
This means that on a per-capita basis, black people commit homicide at 7.25x the rate of non-black people. That is extremely significant.
