My wife is registered democrat and I'm registered republican. I've voted in every election for the past 4 years, and I don't think she's voted since the 2016 presidential election. We've had the same address for about 10 years. So why the fuck am I listed as an 'Inactive' voter over at https://voterstatus.sos.ca.gov/? and my wife is listed as active?

And to make this even more ridiculous, there is a misspelled version of my name on the ballots that's registered to an old address I used to live in 20 years ago, and that name got a ballot for this upcoming election!

I'm pretty sure I can still vote in person, and I'm not posting this to start some kind of investigation, I just think it's fucked up. Also yeah you might want to check and make sure you're listed as 'active'

I thought it was kind of weird that I didn't get any political mailers for this upcoming election.

Sorry for the basic question but my wife and I are having trouble trying to figure this out.
