Right now I'm mostly don't YouTube, but yeah, each platform has little tricks that help the media do better, and using all of them in a system is super powerful in regards to ranking in Google and presenting a consistent message.
It's marketing, so it's all about finding the best way to achieve specific goals. A 1 minute instagram video could direct you to a full length YouTube video, which then leads to a free ebook download on a website.
Now you can retarget that person through email, you have Facebook pixel data on them so you can target similar groups with ads, etc.

Some times it internal training materials , some times it product showcase videos. It's fun as fuck though. I have a background in filmmaking and I've been editing video for over 15 years, so it's a good fit, and I'm my own boss.
