I used to think the corruption was just people being selfish, and I guess it is on a lower level, but at a high level there is organization with leadership (headed by Satan), oaths and covenants. With the sole purpose of trying to destroy the Lord's church. Whenever the kingdom of God has been established on the earth, the adversary has implemented a counterfeit kingdom of deceit and falsehoods. The scriptures give us warnings and admonitions regarding the secret combinations that have always existed from the beginning . These secret societies have flourished from the days of Cain, throughout the Old Testament and New Testament times, and now in the latter-days as well.
