Haven’t for months. I was confronted finally by some deranged individual at the Wally World checkout who was probably 6’6”. He wasn’t an associate so I responded with “Fuck off” and proceeded to ignore him. Talk about a meltdown! He was making a huge stink saying god knows what while I was bagging my groceries. My favorite part was when he told the bag watcher, “He’s not wearing a mask! What are you going to do?” I immediately turned to the associate and said, “I have asthma (I don’t) and this man is harassing me.” So she responds to him, “There’s nothing we can do about it.” LOL
He continued to make a stink while I and the rest of the shoppers just ignored him like you would a fussy toddler. Finally a manager spoke with me as I was heading out and told me about alternative options to get my groceries. It was obvious from the interaction he was attempting to appease the man child per store policy, and not get sued by telling me I can’t come in because I have asthma. I just said, “Okay, thanks” and that was it. Literally no one cared except this one excessively tall weirdo. Just goes to show the vast majority of people recognize the mandate as a chore and not a necessity.
Even the deranged man said, “if I have to wear a mask, why doesn’t he?” It’s obvious no one is afraid of this bullshit flu. It’s all about power and government overreach.
Both sides make valid points. So I suggest “fast and painful” as a compromise.
