The reasons there are more strains is because the virus is spreading.
It is not the common cold or the flu. It is much more deadly and you are being intellectually dishonest suggesting otherwise. The flu would kill on average 30k a year while covid has so far killed 577,584 Americans and that is with lockdowns, mask mandates and travel restrictions. India reported 400k new infections yesterday and that is woefully underreported.
Believing in random posts over actual research because it fits your world view is the definition of cognitive dissonance.
This is why people laugh at us. There are legit medical studies and papers that are freely available. You can do all "your own research" but people take anonymous "opinion" posts by random people you don't know "from Adam" as equal to those scientific studies. Half the articles people post here are click bait where the text doesn't match the headline. No one bothers to read the articles and when I point out what it actually says, I get screamed at and suspended. I was attracted to this community because of all the promises but since none of them came true and Biden has become president I have become disillusioned. I guess because I am not willing to swallow everything everyone posts and instead READ THE ARTICLES THEY SHARE I am some how the enemy. You do you but I prefer to think for myself.
I have several close friends that have lost loved ones. My child's friend lost both grand parents within a week. This is very real to me. The vaccination is 95% effective. So 5 out of 100 people will still contract the virus. The added benefit of being vaccinated is that of the 5 that end up contracting it, they won't be hospitalized. Also, every time the virus enters a human it has the chance to mutate. Every time it mutates it has the chance of circumventing the vaccines, becoming more deadly or easier to spread. The Brazilian variant for example is much easier to spread and killing the young and it is here in the US.
If you want to travel to many countries you have to have proof of vaccination. I want to travel to Nova Scotia and Canada will require proof of vaccination. I can not get the vaccine and not go or get it and go. At this point it is a personal choice?
I did a little research. There is another woman an Greece with similar symptoms. Another rumored woman in Pennsylvania exists but I can not find any information on her yet. The two women have had their mobility return. Can we stop with buying EVERY conspiracy that pops up? RNA isn't new. It doesn't take a rocket scientist or molecular biologist to do a little research and find that RNA vaccines are safer than traditional ones because they are not made with the pathogen particles or inactivated pathogen. Most people claiming this is "gene therapy" clearly don't know what they are talking about. RNA does not integrate itself into the host genome and the RNA strand in the vaccine is degraded once the protein is made. Trump and his whole family took the vaccine. They already had some immunity due to contracting the virus.. if it was so dangerous why would all the Trump's take it?
Most of my family works in hospitals/Medical. We had friends die. It wasn't faked. It isn't invented. No doctor would risk their license to lie on a death certificate to help a hospital's bottom line. Every country experienced it. Half my family lives in England and they had much more sever lockdowns. I am not one of the people that believe in a global conspiracy ala Alex Jones so that, paired with my experience I have to believe it is real. I got vaccinated, my kids did and so did my wife. All my in laws are and my family is in the process. This entire year of Covid has really opened my eyes to some of the false information that surrounds this site.
