Had to go to a laundromat for the first time in like 15 years while helping clean someone's home.
Was chatting with the attendant when she told me how excited she was to be making almost double what she makes now. I said "that will be nice, I hope you're able to tuck some of that away quickly before the prices of things start spiking." She seemed almost baffled. I left the conversation at that because I didn't have the heart to tell her that the owner of the laundromat would likely need to make certain cutbacks and changes due to the newly imposed higher minimum wage.
Hopefully she still actually has a job by the time this rolls around
I really feel like this is the general consensus in my area. We have a large native american population and almost all of them call themselves Indians or "NDN" and most of the people I associate with think it's stupid for the local High School football teams (the Indians and the Redskins) to be forced to change their names.
I have yet to actually meet one person who is thankful for a team name/mascot change or even cares enough to mention it.

I have always loved America, but after seeing failed politician after failed politician in my young life, I never dreamed I could put much hope into one.
Trump has awakened the sleeping patriot within me, he has forced me to see why I have no faith in politicians and why I cannot remain complacent. I do believe the best is yet to come, not because he is going to pull off some grand finale, but because I'm not the only person who he has woken up. We're alert and we're not happy.

GEOTUS has always exaggerated his speech and seemingly spoken off the cuff. But his language in his speeches since the pre-recorded one on the 6th have been very odd and out of character.

My brother in law is an "oppressed" black male. He tried to pick a fight with me about being targeted by police because of his skin color.

As a genealogist, many people would be very shocked to see the black slave ancestry in the lineage of white people.
I myself (white af), am the descendant of slaves. My 7th great grandmother was a black slave, and her husband was a white indentured servant from England. Their son is listed as a "person of color" revolutionary war soldier. Even though he was a free man, he wasn't allowed to battle or hold weapons but he escorted prisoners hundreds of miles to their camps.
But based on the liberal agenda, my ancestry doesn't matter and I'm still a white supremacist... Go figure!

I skimmed through it, but I gathered that he was saying the people elect the president (or are supposed to) and by our selection we allow the President to pick and choose heads of departments. He doesn't want people he hasn't selected (lower level people) making any of the rules for those departments.

Not trying to toot my own horn but I was EXACTLY like this kid. My dad raised me to speak out and taught me about important current events.
For people who want a kid like this, make sure you talk to them like they're adults and help them understand what's going on in the world.
Expose the hypocrisy of the left to them. Kids understand basic right and wrong, And democrats are wrong on a VERY basic level.
