The committee met and voted on most of the subpoenas for all the big names (Brennan, Comey, Powers, Strzok, etc) a few weeks back.
Yesterday's meeting was to vote on adding 7 new names to the earlier approved list and authorizing a request for additional documentation... and in the "Are You Not Entertained" category... for Chairman Johnson to publicly ream Ranking Member Peters.
What Chairman Johnson lays bare is the blatant effort of the Democrats (and their Lawfare allies) to block the deposition of Jonathan Winer (one of the subpoenas voted on weeks ago). As you will hear, or read in Johnson's opening remarks, Jonathan Winer was one of two witnesses (read "co-conspirators") who refused to be interviewed by DOJ I.G. Horowitz during his investigation of Crossfire Hurricane.
For most readers... particularly our foreign readers, the name, Jonathan Winer, will be unfamiliar and obscure. Winer will turn out to be a key witness as well as a key conspirator with a very long track record with Christopher Steel, (back to the days when Steel was the Chief of the Russia Desk for MI6). That is one of the main reasons why the Democrats and Lawfare have been fighting so long and so hard to keep investigators away from Winer and to keep him out of sight of the public. There are others just as damning.
High chance of Arkancide with this guy. He is holding a very very big can of worms.
The Russia Hoax / Steele dossier is just the latest hoax Winer has been a central player in. One hoax and smear campaign eventually resulted in the Magnitsky Act, which is the legislation sponsored by Sen McCain (R) and Sen Cardin (D) that brought sanctions against Russia beginning in 2012.

I have been watching scenes, like the one that occurred between Johnson and Peters about Jonathan Winer, in past House and Senate committee meetings for over two years now. Republicans have been shutting down a lot of Democrat bullshit just by mentioning WIner's name (sometimes almost just a seemingly casual mention) in the course of proceedings, and the result is like pulling the pin on a hand grenade and holding it your hand not releasing the actuator.

These are very strong words, implying as near to a statement of fact that you can get, without outright stating it, that not only was the Wuhan flu purposefully spread to the United States by China... but China has done this multiple times in the past. Note the President's query, "I wonder why?"
In normal times a statement like this made publicly by a head of state about the actions of another country would result in an immediate diplomatic demarche by the country maligned.
But... we are obviously not living in normal times...
More like we are living in "interesting times".

Given the Russians did not hack the DNC, and given that the level of 2016 Russian Government / Intelligence Agency /ies Internet-based election influence was less then negligible, why, on 29 December 2016, were 35 Russians declared Persona Non Grata, given two days to leave the country and two diplomatic facilities closed?
An analysis based on Occam's Razor (of two competing theories, the simplest is preferred) and on Nguyen van Phred's Maxim ("The secret bombings in Cambodia were no secret to the Cambodians.") poses some interesting potentialities.
Apply Occam's Razor and the simple theory floats that the Russia Hoax plotters wanted to amplify the smear effect of claiming massive Russian Government / Intelligence Agency /ies, pro-Trump election interference at the same time forcing a poison pill down the throat of any possibility for there to be anything approaching normal U.S. / Russian government-to-government relations. Not bad for a two-fer.
It would also taint any effort made public by the Russian Government / Intelligence Agency /ies to be proactive providing information antithetical to the Russia Hoax narrative, as it would be proof positive of a pro-Trump position. So its more a hat-trick than a tow-fer.
However, with a hat tip to van Prhed, it seems prudent to take into account. that not only did the Russian Government / Intelligence Agency /ies know that they did not hack the DNC, they knew exactly what their level of " election interference" was.
Additionally, it would also seem to prudent to factor in that the Russian Government / Intelligence Agency /ies were well aware of the active measures the DNC, in coordination with rouge elements of the U.S. Government, were engaged in elements of the Russia Hoax.
"The Russia Hoax was no secret to the Russians" and they had the capability to know a great deal about what was going on. Its not like they had to go to a FISA court to get a warrant to monitor communications of American government officials in the United States and more importantly... when the hoax plotters were operating in Europe.

Checked wiki for his dates of employment at the CIA... Brennan started in either 1980 or 81. Recall the Bezmenov video is from 1984... so the timeline fits.
