How much of this is real, and how much is bad actors doing everything they can do destabilize US politics and society through online discourse.

Yes, there are a lot of broken souls, but this isnt normal.

I wonder how many of these are trolls. Some are broken by the media, but sometimes I cant help myself from thinking that this is just someone from 4chan or China doing everything they can to demoralize

agreed. Get normal people into the schools. So many great people who can do tremendous amount of great work. More parents, unclear, aunts, grandparents less neoliberal activist grooming pedophiles

I agree. Stupid teachers are a massive problem. I think that the average IQ is somewhere around 105 in USA and slightly higher in EU.

Yes. Offcourse it worked. I would not do the same thing with a "160 IQ schizo-effective ADHD kid that survived attempted parental murder attempts".

I showed that example because it is similar to the kid we are talking about. It was a dude who was disorderly in class. I dont get your point. The entire point is that this is easy things to "fix". Child soldiers from Africa who are refugees without parents and addicted to methamphetamine is another type of kids who is also difficult to "fix".

Teachers cant "fix" anything deep, only provide leadership and guidance in a classroom.

Yes. Basicly women are afraid of war so they punish boys for playing rough because they wrongly think that that will lead to war.

They create abstract falsehoods like "we dont tolerate violence" while they tolerate violence. Noone does anything to the biggest bully who repeatedly goes around beating other kids up. I remember one time I came to a class where the superkind teacher spent the first half of a session talking about how violence is bad and never works and the second half talking about how we must support Ukraine and fight back.

What you need to do is treat young boys like warriors. Teach them to control their violence instead of holding it in. Discipline is the key.

Yes. But you need to also not allow his thinking to dominate you. You need to have Authority, but try to minimize it. Excessive force is pointless.

Also be aware of false compassion. That will destroy you if you use it with "gangsterboys". Do not lie.

I was working with a class two years ago with six "social challenges" in it about two-three years ago.

One of the issues we were dealing with was a Kid with divorced parents, father was an abusive Turk who left to go back to Turkey. That Kid had a typical leftist woman as mother and was constantly talking in class.

I spent time talking to the kid, created rapport and trust. He was small, not good in sports and picked on by other classmates. His only way of getting respect was to "attack the teacher verbally" in class. It was a self defense mechanism. I took him out of class, explained what I wanted to see, explained what would happen if he continued to verbally challenge me. There is more to it, but that is basicly it. Ten thousand small things.

One of the differences between me and their normal teacher is that the kids respected me. I could then use that social position and leadership to enact change in the group dynamic. Kids want desperately a good leader.

Some kids are highly intelligent and have low impulsecontrol. It is not a bad thing to talk a lot. BUT this Kid needs to learn discipline. When to talk is important.

This. Max von Manen is a good example.

Read people like Jesper Juhl and his book on tabooification of violence

Yes, this is the result of weak leadership in the classroom.

I would bet she iniated a powerstruggle which she then lost.

No. Im not what you think I am. I work with the worst of the worst of kids everyday. I am an engineer working as a teacher without the education as a teacher. I gonfrom school to school fixing "gangsterkids". You do not need to humiliate kids to get them to do what you want.

You are however wrong that humiliation and punishment is necessary to create respect in a group. Personally I try to follow my own core tenets. Integrity and honesty is probably enough in most cases as long as there are no underlying issues like rape or whatever.

She is a weak teacher who failed to lead her class. She is probably a lot of what you say, but I am not.

I agree. This is in my opinion not a good solution based on the little information i have. I have however "fixed" a lot of kids like this. Integrity, humility, honesty. Treat kids respectfully and create clear concise rules fra rnwhat is acceptable with clear and concise sanctions.

Humiliating a Kid in front of his friends is just a loosing move by a weak teacher. Probably. We dont know everything

I agree and disagree. As a teacher I would never humiliate one of my kids like this. There are so many better ways of dealing out punishment or sanctions than this.

I was a difficult Kid. I ate weak teachers alive. This is a weak teacher who lost a powerstruggle she probably iniated with this Kid.
