Yep, today I ALMOST screamed at them, "YOU FUCKIING MORONS!" Instead I just said it under my breath (loudly). I saw it was hopeless.

This is a side-effect of the lockdown/social distancing paranoia. There's a whole set of people like you and me who almost lock ourselves down to avoid seeing the grotesque spectacle of our fellow Americans acting like--Mainland Chinese. This is what they want: both conformists and dissenters are part of a social breakdown planned by the Commies so they can reassemble the pieces as a totalitarian society.

Thank God Trump is going to win, or otherwise this would be just the beginning.

The sickness of totalitarianism has a lineage. It begins with the man who said, "Man is born free, and is everywhere in chains"--and then figured out a way to tighten those chains and enslave everyone to the State. In the name of Freedom. I'm talking about the first Liberal Fascist and master of Doublespeak, Rousseau. He imagined a "Utopia" where everyone signs a social contract whereby they agree willingly to give up their individual rights in exchange for the protection of society. Your freedom isn't sacrificed, because you WANT to give it up, like everyone else who signs away their freedom. The State is nothing but the "general will" with executive powers.

Those who don't play ball will be jailed; this is called "forcing them to be free." And the beauty of it is that the RATIONAL part of them will agree with their own punishment. After all, it's impossible for any two rational people to disagree, because the truths of Reason are absolute and universal. This fanatical rationalism is, as Isaiah Berlin said, LUNACY, taken one twisted-logical step further during the French Revolution with the Cult of Reason, then influencing Commies from Marx through Xi--and it's spreading here like a virus.

Half or more of East Germans were Stasi informers. So don't trust your neighbors or your loved ones, anyone of them could rat you out, or point the finger at you on the street and REEEEEE like a pod person in "Invasion of the Body Snatchers." In fact in some states you call a hotline to report individuals or businesses violating lockdown orders (i.e., martial law or, in the UK, actual house arrest.)

So the lesson you'd better learn is: Trust no one except the government. It IS the people, remember? You signed that social contract before you were even born, and your signature is kept on file. Do what the State tells you to do, or they will force you to be free.

I went out for a walk today in freezing rain and saw a young couple walking on a totally deserted street (I was on the other side): EACH OF THE FUCKING MORONS WAS WEARING A FUCKING MASK. But this is Charlottesville, so of course these were incurable cuckbots. I almost wept: "O my country, my country!"

This is the next step in culling the poors. Get them to do something as stupid as wear masks while, say, driving alone in a car and (next and final step) convince them that breathing is an antisocial act, since even a mask can't 100% stop the spread of the Plague. So buy a thick heavy mask and asphyxiate yourself. Especially if you're a white male, thx.

I think it's fine that Barry subscribes to TDW (though some of us here may find it surprising!) This is a very inclusive forum. It's gay-friendly and a great pick-up site for scrawny Muslim guys who like to be ass-fucked by trannies.

That's how Communism works--by attracting amoral, mediocre-to-incompetent people whose prime motives are greed and lust for power. Authoritarian intimidation provides perfect cover for incompetence, it's an old trick malignant narcissists use. "It's true because I said it is. How dare you challenge me! Off to the Gulags with you!"

"Power corrupts" doesn't quite capture it. It's more like "(Corrupt) power attracts the corrupt." To paraphrase Hayek, What decent person would want to be a slave-driver?

The Dark Enlightenment guy? I've been meaning to read his essay by that name. Also Nick Land is on my list. Good quotation, more timely than ever.

The RINOs are happy to be a faux-opposition party, as long as they keep getting elected to the trough. They may even get Democrat help, since at least for a while they'll want to keep up a show of representative democracy. But eventually the Demon Rats will go full Xi, and they'll come for the RINOs too. Same goes for the RINOs on the Supreme Court, who also seem to think they're safe as long as they play along with a stacked court and a Commie government. History teaches otherwise.

"At the end of the tumultuous campaign, competing political camps in three states each sent two different slates of electors - one for Tilden [Dem candidate], the other for Hayes - to Congress.

The dueling slates from Florida, Louisiana and South Carolina arrived with varying degrees of authority; the Republican slate from Louisiana supporting Hayes was sent by the state's governor while the Democratic slate backing Tilden was sent by that party's gubernatorial candidate.

The election hinged on the disputed states. If their Republican electoral votes were counted, Hayes would be president. If the Democratic slates were counted, Tilden would be elected.

Since Congress then had no existing procedures to decide which of the disputed returns should be counted, it created a 15-member commission to settle the dispute, with five members each drawn from the House, the Senate and the Supreme Court. That commission ultimately voted 8-7 along partisan lines to award each of the disputed electoral votes to Hayes, giving him the presidency.

Democrats accepted the result only after Republicans agreed to withdraw U.S. troops left over from the Civil War from Southern states...

A decade later, Congress enacted the Electoral Count Act that was meant to establish a roadmap for resolving disputed elections in the future, though exactly how it would work remains unclear because of ambiguities in the language, election scholars say. The law has never been tested or interpreted by the courts."

So it could go to the courts? What a joke. They've shown their true colors; they don't get to decide this.
