ANY hateful or abusive comments there came EXCLUSIVELY from triggered SJWs, this is probably one of the most egregious bans I've seen.

I saw this story in the New York Times, whose readers will of course be unaware that the sub has been dead for months, killed for spurious reasons by politically motivated administrators, and that this site is doing just fine.

While I support mask wearing, I do NOT support a MANDATE for the ENTIRE state. I feel like we are being punished for the incompetence of our leaders.

Not only are there conservatives and Republicans in the city itself, but once you leave Manhattan the state is pretty red.
Last time I traveled up near Albany I was actually surprised to see Trump signs in people's yards.

I live in New York City.
The people here are fucking idiots.
I've been watching this virus since January. I bought goods early, began isolating in early February, and when I did have to go out I was the ONLY person wearing mask gloves on the train, for WEEKS.
Our mayor, whose name I refuse to mention, was downplaying the virus and even giving out FALSE information. Our governor did nothing. For WEEKS.
People were taking the train, going to bars, going to plays, concerts, the movies. NOBODY took this seriously.
And understand, not only does our transit system put all of Manhattan in touch, it also makes the outer boroughs (Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx, Staten Island, etc) within reach, AND commuters from upstate, New Jersey, and CONNECTICUT.
We could have been proactive, we could have been educating the populace, shutting down international travel, converting spaces into hospital beds, ordering extra equipment, supplies. We could have done so much, given the unique nature of this city.
Not to mention we have areas like Harlem, Inwood, Bed Stuy, and Washington Heights, packed full of poor minorities with higher than average rates of comorbidities: diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure, heart disease.
Now all these stupid, brainwashed Leftists--who only a week ago were like "ah, it's just the flu, bro" --are terrified, because it's impacting them directly.
Now they think Andrew Cuomo, who again did NOTHING for weeks, is being looked at as a "real leader", and pretending that Donald Trump is doing nothing (you can always tell who is actually watching his daily briefings, and who is only reading the shoddy reporting on them).
Now the disease is spreading rapidly here; I'm convinced that there's no way this virus hasn't been incubating for WEEKS, while NOBODY DID ANYTHING. I think a LOT of people are going to needlessly suffer and die, because of our incompetent "leadership".
Oh, and did I mention our huge homeless population????? And that we are a SANCTUARY CITY???
I wish I could move, I wish I had moved away years ago but my industry (entertainment...ugh) is here.
