The world is watching this bullshit. They would have to turn away from the evidence being presented if they didn't want the Audience to see it, but the Audience would get a taste first. Many won't believe a thing, but it'd be quite a spectacle if he brought extreme, valuable, complicit evidence of corruption from within the very chamber floor holding him on trial. I'd like to imagine he let Mitch know that if Mitch doesn't play ball, the GOP is done. If Trump is impeached during this trial, no matter how bogus it is, there would be zero reason for any of us to remain a Republican. He would dismantle that party in one election cycle no matter how rigged they were, and Mitch knows this.
My expectations are very low - after seeing their opener, it is deflating and I have lost hope that there is any master plan. But I'd like to believe Trump was clever enough NOT to lose power to these pieces of shit and if he's got the evidence, he should provide it.

I totally agree... I'm just saying, if they cheated to win and won... I imagine they will also cover their tracks and make it near impossible to lose again. These people are the scum of the earth.

The unfortunate and cold hard truth is that "we the people" are governed by people who stab us in the back. We elect them, they get compromised and sell us out. Trump was only one man, but he was the most powerful man in the world. He continued to bring on terrible choices, and so it seems his closest advisors were probably complicit or compromised in some aspect as well... Or, he just didn't have the ability to end the swamp. Who knows... I'm glad he's still at it, but until we have any sort of organization and assurance that we will be OK - we will be hunted like prey by people with access to powerful tools and who will have no real checks and balances.
I just want America to be free.
Yeah... Not seeing a path towards a way out any time soon given how flagrantly they cheated to win.. Given the probably lopsided victory that was stolen from the majority... Given the news media's corruptness, and given the fact that most of these people on both sides are swamp.
