I don't think you understand the ability to redistribute weight in that position and why it's used. You can make your knee a feather or a sledgehammer all by pushing off or relaxing your opposite knee. Head control is one of the easiest ways to control someone, so if Chauvin was able to push his head off the ground, you can be certain that Chauvin didn't have much pressure on him, and no restriction on his ability to breathe.

I'm gonna give you a hot take on this...when you read something like this, don't get upset. That's the understandable first reaction most people would have- "fuck this guy, he's a racist". Or maybe you get really angry and think, "I hate black people they are all racist". Don't do that. That's what they want to happen when you read something as outrageous as this. It needs to be so outrageous to get the desired reaction out of you. The average black person, white person, asian person, hispanic person- they all want the same thing. They want to live their lives with nobody standing in their way and make a good future for their family. We need to unite with like minded people of all colors and not take take the race bait, which is exactly what this is.
