Been a restaurant manager for over 25 years. 86'd...I don't even know why I know what it means, it's just a part of our language. Yes it means: out of, get rid of, we don't have, etc. Even Green Day has a song: 86, where it seems the origins are that they weren't allowed in a club/restaurant by the managment/owners for whatever reason. In the Lyrics for the song: "There's no return from 86, don't even try!"
