I think they believe that the moderate Democrats are on their side no matter what, so they are abandoning the center and focusing on getting the radical left under their wing. What they don't realize is that for every vote they gain by pandering to radical leftists, they probably lose two votes from moderates who are sick of the nonsense.
Also they seem to have completely forgotten that Independents decide almost every single election. And independents are...independent because they don't agree with the more extreme ends of either party.
All told their election strategy makes zero sense and seems like it's designed to chase away as many voters as possible just so they can have the "moral" high ground.
I look forward to the video footage of all these murals being blown up Zeppelinfield, Nuremberg style once this is all over.
I would love to see these teachers try to enforce mask rules and social distancing in a school setting. That's why these unions are all up in arms and bitching about having to reopen. They know it will be open season on their ass because no child is going to keep a mask on for more than a couple minutes without constant scolding, and its absolutely impossible to keep kids from congregating on playgrounds and hallways.
Yeah just to be clear if you can handle your alcohol that's fine. I just don't think alcohol and politics mixes very well.
As for your feelings about the lockdowns and America, I'm in the same boat. Older than you, but I feel like I got robbed of the true American experience but fortunately I still have some memories of my pre-social media childhood and teenager days and they are, looking back, some of the better days. Nowadays things do indeed seem bleak.
I just had to learn to laugh at the insanity and go with the flow. I know what side I'm on, what my beliefs are, and what lines I'm not going to cross. The fact that the left hates us is just fuel to me now. If they really hate me just because I support Trump then they simply aren't intelligent enough or don't have enough common sense to warrant me wasting any time thinking about them.
Just hopefully my advice can help a bit. The only reason I felt compelled to speak up now is I recently had a very bad incident happen in my life that was related to alcohol and I have done a lot of thinking about how my constant exposure to politics and my constant drinking was leading me to a very negative place, and the bad incident I had was a shocking wake up call to reorganize my priorities and to try and not expose myself to these situations which make me so angry.
Nobody gives a shit here what their "post comes across as." This isn't huggy-bear Reddit where we need to step on eggshells around each other.
Race division plain and simple. They want blacks and whites to hate each other so they can see some violence and inject their filthy social agendas in order to give themselves more power and control.
When different races get along together it removes one of their crucial tools in controlling the populace.
Wallet phone cases are ridiculously stupid. So if you lose one thing not only do you lose your phone but also your ID, your cash, your credit cards, other possible identifying information? Amazing idea right there.
If government wants to charge reparations they have the burden of proof to show I owe anyone money. If my family never owned slaves or if we immigrated after the Civil War then I shouldn't owe a single damn cent.
Nah, Scott Adams' method wins out for me in this case. Run some math and find out if the person would be better off had they stayed in X than if they were brought to America. If they have a net gain then they need to pay us instead.
Your first point is ridiculous. It's been shown that people who use Facebook are more depressed because all you see are snapshots of people's lives. And you know nothing about this guy. Maybe he and his wife go out every weekend to the country and enjoy the fresh air rather than staying crammed in their house for a year just to afford a dream week-long vacation to the Bahamas.
Sites like Facebook can easily delude you into believing your friends are all living fancy lives with no downsides at all. That's because nobody posts pictures of themselves when they're awake at 2am rushing a project because their boss just dropped a deadline in their lap. Nobody posts pictures of their argument they just had with their spouse because of something stupid like "where should we go for dinner." For single people, nobody posts the nights they spend alone playing video games or watching TV for eight hours straight.
You only see the good parts of everyone else's lives and it will make you believe that other people don't have struggles. Its unhealthy to live that way.
Delete all your social media. Unless you need it for business purposes, I just don't understand why people willingly publish private facts about their life in such a public forum.
Common misconception. If they don't have a justified reason it leaves them open to any number of discrimination claims, or claims of creating an unsafe / hostile work environment, etc. Technically most cases will fall apart in the end because the employer can claim the "at-will" clause, but before that point they will have to spend thousands on legal representation and risk discovery which could reveal all sorts of illegal hiring and firing practices behind the scenes.
It's why every single large employer has a dictionary-sized employee handbook with vague policies that give the employee expansive powers on whether they can terminate a person for X, Y and Z reason. Usually the employer will keep tabs on your attendance records (every single "three minute late" gets recorded whether you get in trouble for it or not), any minor complaints made against you, or any grievances at all. That way when they decide that they just don't like you, they can pull out the book of "justified reasons" to fire you, and head off a lawsuit before it even begins or gets to the discovery phase.
All this is to say that if you ever feel your termination was wrongful for even the slightest reason, and you have the financial reasons, you should try to fight it so that the company has to actually expose how big of an asshole they are really being in letting you go. If you have a good enough legal team or theres even some gray area in your firing case, you could potentially expose a lot underlying issues. Don't let "it's an at-will state" keep you from pursuing a wrongful termination lawsuit.
Also, from the beginning, always do your best to outsmart your company at all sides and don't let them build a file on you. Don't fall into the common traps of your coworkers, like them telling you that "oh it's ok if you're fifteen minutes late they probably wont even say anything" because that could come back to bite you in the ass later.
I dont think they're fooling many people though. Been hearing from a lot of mothers who are pissed off that their kids aren't in school and how much of a pain in the ass they are becoming.
Just hopefully their frustration gets pointed in the right direction come voting time. At least Trump has stayed ahead of the curve by demanding things be reopened and ultimately leaving it up to the state governments to decide what their moves are going to be.
The enemy is the MSM who tries to attribut attribute the fact that NYC had a ridiculously high death rates on Trump rather than on Cuomo and DeBlasio.
Wyoming, Idaho, most of Montana, North and South Dakota, and Nebraska are your best bets to bug out when things go to shit. Deep red states with plenty of open area to buy a couple acres and throw down a wall and mobile home and forget about the rest of the world.
And if it is real socialism, its capitalism's fault for out competing the socialist enterprises.
White people --> bad White people --> bad White people --> bad
Is the best part of this meme.
Even during the original black death they didnt shut down the cities. You got quarantined if you were actually sick and yes sometimes entire villages were quarantined because the entire town had come down with the plague. But for the most part people still had to go about their lives and get shit done. There wasn't mass logistics and grocery stores where people could venture out of their house with a face mask once every two weeks to get food and be perfectly fine.
People still needed to farm, still needed to sell and trade, armies still had to train and fight. Only in today's spoiled society can people even manage a lockdown like this. Everyone needs to get over it and stop living in a bubble.
This is much sadder than Nazi Germany. During the days of the Weimar Republic, socialists, democrats, and nationalist groups would constantly assemble and kept marching against and throwing each other out of various parts of government. It's why Hitler came to power in the first place - his Nazi party was the most dominant in using force and violence to achieve its goals, and by the time he got into office it was widespread enough that nobody could march in and promptly throw him out of power. Seriously, look at how many times the Weimar government was forced to flee Berlin during the days leading up to the Nazi takeover due to some communist group marching on the capital and claiming control. I can hardly blame the people for finally just settling for the first person who came into power and eliminated all of the bickering political parties and started focusing on changing the country, even if was ultimately for the worst.
My point is that these people in NYC and Democratic strongholds were elected there and people have had dozens of chances to peacefully vote them out of power if they really weren't happy with what was going on. Nobody even had to form a march at anytime in the past to gain the power to overthrow legitimate government, you just needed to exercise your right to vote. Sadly these people keep getting reelected time after time then once their term is done the next Democrat with the same stupid promises comes along and gets voted in time after time. And the Democrats still bitch and complain about nothing being done then next election they go in and vote for the same fucking party.
So do I, friend, believe me. Alcohol won't help with your anger though. It will only make things seem worse.
I'm a rapid talker and have to rip my mask off constantly while talking so that I can fucking breathe.
You should cut back on the drinking if it is causing you to have such a vile view of the people on your side. I know it's frustrating to see inaction, but remember we are also all largely trying to run families, businesses, make money, and set things up to be successful in the long term. Being a conservative isn't about immediate gratification but it's about hard work and pulling yourself through hard times to come out the side a better person who isn't a parasite on society.
Trust me. Take some time off from politics or cut back the drinking. I was completely miserable about politics up until a few weeks ago and I haven't had a drink since and now I can handle these political posts a lot better. I still get annoyed and frustrated with things, but remember the alcohol amplifies your emotions and sometimes to an extreme level. Try to moderate and have some hope.
If masks prevent the spread then why do we need to social distance?
Nobody has yet been able to properly explain the pure hypocrisy of this to me.
They never once zoom out and show the whole room. Fucking liars and cheats all of them. 24k views on the YouTube video when I checked it out just now. Low energy and sad!
To be fair in AZ you can have a downpour and yet it will be sunny in parts of the sky still. I don't believe the weather is like that in Pennsylvania however.
Yes you're right we should be sticking articles from CNN and The Daily Beast because those sites are definitely not propaganda outlets.
