I believe that if you were going to feed people, you could sell the egg-laying birds as meat birds... Also, a chicken can be ready to go in roughly 6 months... so eat the egg-layers as meat birds and immediately start raising the next generation of egg-layers.
I'm an American that's lived in S.Korea for over a decade. My wife and Mom in-law voted... no problems at all. Also, FYI you need a photo ID to vote here in Korea. Korea is now opening "public spaces" up again. Last weekend I ate out a 3 different restaurants, things getting back to normal again...personally, I think there was a bit of an overreaction to the wu-flu.
