This was presented to a local Kentucky County Republican meeting.

Thank you for taking the time to preview this email. As we begin this discussion please acknowledge that we are all neighbors and in agreeance on most issues. We have much, much more in common than the minor issues we let come between us, and once this discussion is over I hope that every single one of you feels like we could break bread together and enjoy each other's company.

I believe I must begin this discussion by giving a brief background on myself as I feel it helps everyone understand my motivations for bringing this to the group.

Around 1 year ago, as we all were panicked about the coronavirus I watched the world around me get destroyed with the stroke of a pen delivered by individual politicians.

Businesses, schools, essential, non essential.

All shuttered and decimated based off of the arbitrary decisions of bureaucrats.

It was the most helpless feeling of my life. As I am sure many of you can relate. As a result of what I saw as the complete loss of my individual liberties I promised myself that I would put every effort forward I could to make sure my voice was heard in the future. Through that exploration I found myself Joining the Republican Party of Oldham County and learning about their process.

After meeting the wonderful Mary Broecker and with much debate and consideration I took the steps to become a Delegate and a Youth Captain. As I understand it, my job as a youth captain is to attempt to recruit members to join our discussions, and hopefully join our party.

Considering that I feel to this group I partially represent the generation that grew up with the internet, I feel OBLIGATED to convey the sentiment that I am finding common amongst my peers. Every voting republican that I have spoken to in my age group outside the voting members of this party has expressed that they feel like the republican party DOES NOT represent them anymore.

This is not "the republican party doesn’t match my values."

It is crucial that the two distinct characterizations are not conflated.

The republican parties values are not what is in question at this point.

**What is in question at this point is the ability of the Republican Partys representatives to accomplish the will of their constituents. ** This issue is primarily taken with the Federal level of the party. If there are any representatives or members of this group that wish to have a conversation with the individual voices that I feel I represent, I would be more that happy to connect you with them!

They will not do anything formally with the party, because they have seen from personal experience that when members of the republican party step forward to speak their mind, the party does not do anything to protect them. Currently when a member of the republican party publicly speaks their opinion the "masses" step forward in opposition to "cancel them" and the republican party is largely silent.

"Cancel Culture." "Deplatforming." If you don’t think a certain way the "opposition" wants you to think they will do anything they can to ruin your career, your family, and any ability you had to provide for yourself.

This is what my generation and those younger are facing while trying to establish themselves.

For 4 years the voting populace that I feel I represent has watched the republican party enable the democrats cries of "Russian collusion." In 2016 when this opposition to President Trump started I assumed it was normal and part of our standard political discourse. I had the understanding that it was PART OF THE AMERICAN DREAM to allow individuals to feel as though they had adequate representation of their government.

What I have witnessed in the past few weeks is the exact opposite.

Within 5/6 days of the Biden administration assuming power - it has been made abundantly clear that they think opposing view points have no right to be heard. 75 Millions American don’t have the right to question anything in regards to the election. The democrats have taken this to such an extreme degree that if you suggest there is any reason to speculate anything suspicious or fraudulent from the most recent election that Senators and Congressmen/women who do so are being threatened with removal from their respective platforms in the house or senate. This is not how our founding fathers imagined our systems working.

"Agree with me or else"

That is the dialogue of all opponents to the free thinking members of the republican party. This is the rhetoric of the enemy to the republican party that I identify myself being a member of.

The voices that I feel like I represent as a Youth Captain have sent a clear message. They feel like they have no option but to stand back and prepare themselves for major conflict.

The same sentiment that I have heard amongst my peers I have also heard echoed by members of this very meeting. Everyone in this room has seen or heard it discussed at this point.

Civil WAR.

This is a sentiment that is shared between all demographics of my peers, between people who voted for Trump and for Biden in this past election. Humana Employees. Combat Veterans. Government Employees, Independent business owners and so on. Most people are ready to abandon the traditional party system and brace for the most extreme option possible. While most people may not want the extreme, they have so little faith in the institutions before them that they feel like abandoning the system in preparation for conflict is their only option.

The republican party is currently as divided as it ever has been. And every conversation and goal that I am pushing for is to unify the party. If you think that anything I am doing is not properly explained as to how I feel it will unify the party please open a dialogue with me.

Something that I feel most people have failed to acknowledge is that we are in a modern civil rights movement. The current issues that face our nation are as divisive as those of the civil rights movement of the 60s but these issues face a much more complicated path towards uniting the country. We have voices on both sides of the issues being silenced on "public" platforms.

These platforms are modern day utilities.

If you have ever shared the sentiment that "you should go start your own social media platform" or that "twitter/facebook are private platforms," I present a point of introspection.

"Rosa Parks Should have just started her own bus line."

MY republican party is silent on this. MY republican party allowed the democratic party to entertain fake Russian election interference allegations for 4 years. MY republican party is now allowing EVERY VOICE they are supposed to represent to be silenced with no recourse.

The proposed resolution is not simply a reflection of my own feelings on what needs to happen. The proposed resolution is an attempt by myself to conserve the GOP. This is an attempt to send a message to half of the 75 million People that voted in the past election that the GOP is ready to fight for them.

The Republican party is at a point where its most disenfranchised members need to see that it WILL fight on their behalf.

This is an attempt to send a message to those members of the republican party that feel like they have no choice but to abandon the party because of what has been described as inaction.

This is an attempt to bring attention to a LARGE divide I see happening in the GOP. Anyone who does not share my views, I encourage you to continue this conversation outside of this platform and see what the opinions of your peers are if you haven't already. I beg you to do so in a manner that encourages others to join our cause and become involved.

This is an attempt to send a signal to those members of the party that feel they are ready to "abandon ship" and completely give up any faith they have in the system. This action is HARMLESS to Senator McConnell. It equates to a slap on the wrist. But doing said action is an attempt to show people that the Republican Party is ready to start DOING something.

Because of the controversial nature of what I am proposing I want to request that we conduct the following resolution under a Secret vote. I want the Oldham GOP to speak their mind on this issue without any possibility of political or personal recourse. The proposed resolution that I am suggesting.

RESOLUTION_________

WHEREAS Senator McConnell Engaged in a form of Quid Pro Quo with regards to the presidents executive ability to issue pardons. McConnell threatened the President that he would disregard any due process for a criminal impeachment trial if the President didn’t do as he wished.

WHEREAS Senator McConnell Has engaged in conduct that is clearly unbecoming of a Representative of the State of Kentucky by engaging in the EXACT same behavior that the House of Representatives moved to Impeach the President over on December 18th 2019. Senator McConnell's willingness to interject himself into exclusive privileges of the executive office necessitates that Oldham County formally Censure McConnell so it can be on the record that we do not Condone those said actions.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Oldham County Republican Party Executive and Precinct Officers move to voice our condemnation of the Senators actions and to censure Senator McConnell's actions and public comments as noted herewith and DEMAND that McConnell take the appropriate actions to support the interests of his constituents as represented by the Oldham County GOP

Thank you for your time and consideration.
