"I am a home health aid, an “essential worker” but not essential enough to not lose Medicaid in a few months, or to receive food stamps. I do not qualify for a stimulus check. Under employed and over educated, I am doomed to a life of struggle and squalor and loss after loss after loss. Still I donated. I stickerd the bus stops and train stations. I have pounded pavement for this man, and I’m tempted to mail him my worn out shoes in protest. Now I won’t even get to vote. I turned into the broadcast today hoping to get an uplifting message, instead, surrender to a man with pudding for a brain. in his message, Bernie Sanders is wrong, there is no justice.
And we should think and act like there is no justice. We should consider what it means, really mull it over as we consider where we are and what we are doing. Anything less is simply unrealistic. Now is a time for great reconsideration of what is right or fair, in the light of the truth that there will be no justice in our lives." (the first post on that thread called for violence...)

❤️ CTH. Sundance did an article last week about a theoretical wall between our cities and our rural population that has become very obvious through the past two months. You Pedes probably already know it but it was very satisfying to see something that reflected how I feel.
Healthcare Pede:
A bunch of people lost coverage, a bunch of people who have it can’t pay deductibles, we don’t have enough PPE to last more than 40 days, we don’t have enough tests to verify that workers don’t have it
However, we are still operating at the MD and patients discretion IF not having the procedure within six weeks would cause them harm. When we have enough PPE and tests we can ramp back up. I’ll tell you frankly that not having elective procedures is MURDERING the healthcare economy and the cause for tens of thousands of layoffs and even more furloughs.
Godspeed healthcare Pedes!
The deaths at the nursing home include many comfort care/hospice patients. The VDOH was frustrated with the facility when they wouldnt report or test after initial indications were that there were multiple infections.
