I've been a paid-for "Pro" user for awhile now and have never seen the site this slow. Perhaps the stampede of patriots away from the tyrannical corporate-owned big-name social sites to free-speech sites has overwhelmed them.
There is also the possibility of DOS (denial of service) attack by evil entities seeking to disrupt patriot communications. Or just maintenance.
I have never sought out any particular account. I offer a steady flow of information and graphics and view what is presented as new upon each visit. Not having explored GAB in depth there are likely aspects to it I have missed. Gab does have a specialized browser labeled "Dissent" that I use at times. It allows "to the side" commenting about the sites you visit. There is also an area where news items are entered by users and where other users can make comments, vote up or down or not vote.
The Gab layout is not the most user-friendly in town but poking around will lead you to figuring out where you want to be and what you want to do.
