HOLD THE FUCKING LINE.
The past two days (and four years) have been a real grind. I found myself feeling kind of "doomer" as yesterday went on. I stayed up until 2 AM on Election Night and was scheduled to work a twelve-hour shift on Wednesday from 8 AM - 8 PM. I was irritable and cranky, nauseous, and just plain tired. And seeing these commies try and destroy this country in real time only made it worse.
We have to take care of ourselves, Pedes!! This is going to be a grueling fight. I got home, forced myself to eat a healthy dinner, and promised myself to get to bed at a reasonable time.
As I sat in bed before turning the lights off, I had a talk with the Big Man for the first time in years. Not a begging prayer - just a prayer that I knew the future of this great country was in his hands and I had to trust that. I slept like a baby.
Now I'm awake and ready to go...they will try to demoralize us at every turn. They will probably call the election for Biden today. IT. DOESN'T. MATTER. This is our hill to die on.
Take care of yourself - drink lots of water, avoid alcohol, eat healthy, get some rest, step away from the computer screen for even thirty minutes to get some fresh air, spend time with your family, and PRAY.
