He's not wrong - though I think the Olympics is where this movement ends tbh. This is over when a few men from 3rd world countries compete in Track and Field, Swimming, and Gymnastics and blow out all the competition/break world records.
These are absolutely key women sports for advertisers in the US and probably worth millions in ad revenue (if not billions). The Olympics is the only time women sports really matter - if Americans watch their women lose to some dude from Belize, no one will watch anymore.
