The admission that they think of their job as babysitting rather than passing on any knowledge or skills to the younger generation was pretty illuminating.
And that one vote from Boyer was soon after he had had a sit down meeting with Ducey, who promised him help for his pet projects for local schools. And Ducey is the one with veto power here. Doesn't look too good.
To a certain extent, this is absolutely true; they know that they can almost always get away with anything. But it's also the case that Newsom is currently spending an enormous amount of money on DeeDee Myers, Bill Clinton's spin doctor, specifically to try to manipulate the optics around his governorship. You don't fork out that much money to a big name spin doctor if optics don't matter at all. And Cuomo has been on full damage control mode, too, now that he's being considered enough of a liability to the party that they are considering throwing him to the wolves.
Thank you for posting this. I don't often watch Pool, because honestly he started to annoy me too much, but he knocked it out of the park here. Really important analysis.
I just can't imagine what it's like to have known someone who died due to his policies and listen to that speech.
He even shifted blame onto the people who are rightly angry, by patronizingly talking about how people in pain look to find someone to blame, &etc., when the topic at hand is that people are seeking accountability for what was a potentially criminal act. The emotional manipulation was really over the top.
Scraping the bottom of the barrel now I see.
Yeah, Cuomo is definitely being thrown under the bus -not that he doesn't deserve it. There was a coordinated effort among a group of D governors to enact exactly the same policy, and thereby increase death counts that they could then blame on Trump, but the msm is not reporting on Whitmer, Wolf, Murphy, Newsom, etc. doing the same thing. I guess Cuomo has made enough enemies that he's being sacrificed, to make it look like one state's "mishandling," rather than a multi state operation that goes higher up than the governors.
To be fair, Cuomo did make a statement, which ostensibly was somehow supposed to be a apology. Of course, it felt 1000x more like him shoving grieving families' faces in it. "People died alone, people died alone, people died ALOOOONE." "It was brutal, it was horrific, it was HORRIFIC." It almost seemed like he was bragging. Then he shifted the blame to conspiracy theories, the press for doing a bad job reporting and therefore allowing 'conspiracy theories' to be promulgated, and even old and frail people for having the temerity to die in high numbers - which he clearly had no role in; it was just nature taking its course. And he would like to remind the residents of NY that old people will continue to die in droves, and "it's HORRIFIC." But... that's an apology, right, msm?
Do you have a source handy for that data? Not because I'm doubting, but because I'd like to be able to refer to it.
Showing his true colors. Macron will always be every bit the globalist that you'd expect a former Rothschild banker to be. He's changed his rhetoric because he knows that the problems are so enormous that he cannot use the usual silencing techniques against dissent, and has to start talking about the threats to national identity, otherwise the nationalist parties (his real opponents) will sweep the board and the globalists will lose control of the country. He's persuasive and convincing, but if he wins election again, he'll immediately go right back to all the globohomo, open border policies without losing a beat.
Lefties: "Rent strike!"
"greedy landlord" cannot pay tax/mortgage, property gets foreclosed, tenants are thrown out
Lefties: "Why are the evil big banks doing so well in this economy? Fuck big banks!"
Rinse. Repeat.
It really does.
I really want a Behind the Music style "where are they now" show. Trigglypuff, AIDS Skrillex, Carl the Cuck, Moldylocks. What's it like to become a living meme? Does Trigglypuff now cringe at her cartoonish dating profile, or has she adopted even more intersectional cats? Has AIDS Skrillex finally succumbed? Is Carl the Cuck now a muscle bound ethnat? Enquiring minds want to know.
You can absolutely not get as much done on the phone as you can on the ground; I can guarantee that he would not be on vacation and phoning it in when it comes time to campaign. And like I initially said, even if he didn't feel he needed to be there for the sake of civic responsibility, as a political move this was idiotic. Have you known politicians? Half their job is PR, and this was a major blunder on that front, which he himself acknowledged by immediately returning and releasing a press statement.
And as far as "freezing to death so they can learn about patriotism," nice strawman. Do you really think people are dying en masse, and that that would have been the danger had he stayed? It's not at all a strange viewpoint to think it not an honorable thing to leave when things get difficult. But again, I only care about his actions as a public figure, not what his family does. I was only speaking for myself, because you'd decided to speak for me, and for everyone.
And thank you; it's a badge of honor that such a deeply unpleasant person thinks I'm a fucking moron.
It's especially sad since it looks likely that it wasn't even a phishing attempt, but his gf deleting his accounts after an argument, and both of them now saving face with the "hacking" story.
Damn. This deserves its own post.
"Love these Freddy vs Jason moments." Lmao!
This is so gratifying to watch.
This absolutely is not in any way the story of a former Obama fixer, who joined the board of Facebook just in time for it to play its role in rigging the election, now being rewarded with a major position in the usurper's administration.
Also, he was a major proponent of the TPP, (IIRC, he was the originator of the "most progressive trade legislation ever" talking point,) which calls into question his ties to China, who would have been the major beneficiaries of it.
The choice of someone who has been so deeply involved in trade policy (see wikileaks emails, where he's reporting to Podesta on his attempts to pressure Greece in its conflict with the EU) and in crooked investment banking (he and his wife are both from Bain Capital) suggests what the priorities, unsurprisingly, will be in coof policy & management.
I'm not on the ground there, so obviously cannot give specific examples of what precisely is needed right now in the various areas, but I do know, from first hand experience, that in natural disasters there are always things that are in need. Even the smallest things can do enormous good, but someone with connections and clout can leverage those, as well as the organizing ability that a politician already has, to help much more, even in an unofficial capacity.
I don't like bringing peoples' families into things, but since you asked presumed that I, and everyone, would take my family out of there, no I wouldn't. I think it would be teaching kids exactly the wrong thing about civic responsibility, patriotism, and how to deal with problems. But I also understand that not everyone would feel that way. None of that has anything to do with what he, as a politician, chose to do.
Most of us have less power than he does, and would feel wrong taking off on a holiday during a disaster when we could be helping our neighbors and community. Even if he feels no such responsibility to his community, part of being a politician is being aware of PR, and this was an outrageously idiotic move on that front.
Are you going to write this damage control on every post that dares to criticize Cruz?
We have not forgotten basic civics. We are not "attacking" or "trying to destroy" anyone. He made a stupid choice, and we are recognizing that it was a stupid choice.
Yup, definitely agreed. I posted the video because it's an excellent example of how to analyze community guidelines & community guideline enforcement policies more generally, too.
Sorry it took me a bit to get back to you. Looking into it, there was one way of going about it that I completely forgot that would preserve the video if the phone's taken away/ you're arrested, and preserve privacy (to the extent it's possible,) and that's upping it to the cloud.
The cop watch app automatically uploads to the cloud the instant the recording ends. Unfortunately it uses icloud, and doesn't seem to have the ability for the user to change to a different cloud company, and doesn't seem to have an android version. As an aside, that link has an excellent guide to rights in recording officers for those in Canada.
Another way to do what the app does, if you have iphone with siri enabled is to set up this shortcut that records to icloud & automatically contacts whoever you've preset it to. Of course, siri is a privacy nightmare, though.
The other major app is via ACLU, and it automatically uploads to the ACLU server, so I'm skipping that one. Even people who trust that org have had problems accessing their data.
Another one that has a good rep is reyets, but it may be too much of social justice nightmare. Nevertheless, it is able to simultaneously record/upload to cloud and/or livestream, autopost to the twatters without interfering with the recording, create encrypted reports for documentation of evidence and submission to law firms and media, has an on-the-go rights guide built in, etc.
Unfortunately, the majority of the apps were developed around the time of the Oscar Grant shooting, and have not been updated in years. The amount of people now using the siri shortcuts for this type of thing is shocking.
Whew, this is some magnificent work. The "closed forever" with a burning trash can in front of it should become meme shorthand for every Democrat run city.
What in the world is he holding aloft, though? A crutch with an IV bag? A walking stick with a child's turtleneck? The last remnants of his political career?
