If testing is conducted far and wide, they get to count asymptomatic positives as “cases”, and they lock down.

If testing efforts (or cooperation) is low, then there are few negatives to dilute the positives, and their nonsensical “positivity rate” soars. And they lock it down.

I support the notion of only getting tested if you’re actually seeking treatment, but until the masses understand that “positivity rates” are utterly useless bullshit, it won’t matter.
