Totally agree, cops have to be tough.

The only downside is that they also have to protect their weapons. Meaning that if an unarmed suspect engages, they are now fighting the suspect and protecting their weapons from being taken. So if the cop trips and fall to the ground, even a smaller, weaker suspect may be able to get their weapons. Then that cop has made this situation more dangerous for everyone.

Now if the cop goes Andy Taylor on them, then that's better.
