Conservatives hold many issues that are important to them. Not all of them are the same as all of the others. My husband and I had a strong desire to have a family, but we also knew (at that time) that a kid up for adoption would most likely go to a straight couple, and that would be an easier life for that kid, so we never adopted. We became the best possible uncles for our nieces and nephews. I would bet that we would agree with most every other conservative issue.

Axshully, the reason she didn't accept it was because her husband was ill, and she would not travel due to the pandemic. This fits her cancelling several appearances during the same time due to not traveling. Earlier this year, a Tennessee representative proposed the statue idea to honor Parton for her contributions to the state. But Dolly said no. I'll let Dolly slide with this one. She is a good person and thinks she is doing the right thing. She is from an earlier generation, like my mother, who trust the government, media, and vaccines. They are from a time when their friends and family members suffered from, and or died from smallpox (my great grandmother), diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus (2 of my mothers uncles), polio (my grandfather and aunt), measles (too many to name), mumps (my older brother), rubella (several family members had it, 2 cousins died form it) and more. All eradicated for the most part by vaccines. Of course they are going to want to get the vax right away. They see the good they did in the past, and trust them. I do too. Just not THIS vax.
