Aside from recent covid tyranny, in 1982 PM Pierre Trudeau added a clause to the Canadian Constitution that the government can restrict/remove any of our rights stated in the 1960 Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms whenever they feel like it for doing things within our rights, so we literally have no rights only government approved privileges. Our current prime minister is a unabashed gigacuck SJW, and him and the rest of his liberal party is constantly pushing they're woke agenda onto the rest of the country.
